About 90% healers are lazy and often nasty

I have played MMORPG's for about 30 years but have never come across healers as in this game. I have also often played a healer.

    The healers
actually have very good spells and cannot really complain. Some however can only manage to heal the main tank and nothing else. If you are for instance a ninja or similar, you can drop dead for all they care.

What is very annoying is when the healers want to be a tank or something!
But what is most upsetting is that they do not RES! What have they got the spell for?
How much time and effort is it to res a fallen player?
No, they just all run off to the next fight somewhere and leave you lying.

OK you can make your way back but sometimes there are still mobs we passed before and you get killed again!

If you dare to ask to be ressed, you are told 'don't be so lazy' and they go on their merry way and leave you there.
IT TAKES THREE SECONDS TO RES SOMEBODY AND THEY HAVE THE SPELL!
In no other game would they get away with that!

If you're out of combat, it's actually better to return and use the shortcut to return to the party so you don't get the weakness debuff. That's why many healers don't raise out of combat.

If you died during the boss and the healer leaves you dead the whole fight, that could be called into question, but it could be they decided that for one reason or another that it was not worth their mp to keep you alive.

also if its in combat you know how many times most healers have raised a Dragoon or another dps only for them to die 2 seconds later to mechanic's in raids or dungeons not so big a deal in dungeons but in a savage raid it is that alot of mana that could be used to heal the whole group or keep up the tank

As a healer main, I will raise a person in combat. But, if you die over and over again, proving you're not worth it. Then, I won't waste my MP to do so. When I can just DPS, making my MP consumption worthwhile. I don't raise those who continuously die. Maybe this is you? I don't know. Outside of combat, I will expect you to Return. As to not have Weakness state. If a person gets bent out of shape about this, then I will vote kick you.

    So play I.

I also don't rezz players short before the fight ends. (~15-20% Boss-HP or less).
Just stand up and use the shortcut for no weakness and higher damage on trashmobs.

Try not dying? As a ninja there shouldn't be anything that kills you that you can't avoid and even if there is unavoidable stuff... the odds of it being enough to kill you is pretty slim.

That said, I will res people in combat unless they keep dying and make it more mana-efficient to leave them dead. If it is after battle, you can run back so you avoid the weakness debuff. I have also been playing MMOs for 20+ years and have always played a healer and this has always been my guideline.

If you are dying often enough to conclude that 90% of healers are lazy, it's a you problem. If you are basing a judgement on nearly all healers based on a couple of occurences, it's still a you problem.

What's kind of interesting is normally these threads are the domain of pvp games... where often enough there just isn't enough healing to go around and someone has a chip on their shoulder about not being priority #1 (or not getting heals from overextending, etc).

I kind of get the feeling the OP stands in AoEs or tries to ignore mechanics a lot...
