Then why the **** is it there? This is like the idiots that request developers to waste time disabling right click on websites when you can just hit F12 and download everything from the source.
Thank you for the hint though =)

On another note, I became number 1 in the queue about 5 minutes ago. If this was really a 1 in 1 out basis queue then there is no way it would take longer than a few seconds for someone to log out to let me log in.
Need somewhere to rant, i'm pissed off right now. I just got disconnected. The stream I'm running in the background had no problems so i'm going to assume it was from there side. Anyway, I'm put in a 2k queue. That's annoyed the hell out of me cause I've just sat down with the intent to no life the next 5 hours.

I can't wait for queue time rant number #1203483
As somebody has already posted elsewhere, liking the game (or supporting a product, for that matter) and acknowledging an incompetent launch design, are not mutually exclusive.
It's just that, services not rendered for services paid is fallacious. People will be calling it out, especially on day 5, still with multi-thousand user queues and multiple hours of waiting.
Some think that rocky launches is a simple fact that should just be expected and accepted. Some others will deem this unacceptable. But probably, mostly all would agree that it is not good practice.
What queue times? I don't think I've waited longer than 5 minutes for a dungeon yet for SB. Got my character to 70 and almost in full i310 gears. Life is good.

Transferring off of Gilgamesh to a quieter server was the best decision I ever made. Gotta love coming home from work during peak times and logging on with a 30 person queue.
Literally Balmung/Gilgamesh problems. If you refuse to leave those servers behind then you're accepting the problems that come with being on those servers. They have free transfers right now so if you just transfer and take your friends with you you wouldn't have anything to complain about.

Same. Only been on Coeurl for less than 24 hours now but almost everything about it seems better than Balmung. It's interesting to actually take note of people that are running around and continue to see them occasionally. Kugane feels more authentic with adventurers running around it but not massive clusters of people afk or standing in hordes. I helped a friend with a hunt this morning and the mob fully loaded, I had no idea those things had actual attacks and animations. The only slight problem I've encountered is FATEs at off times are slower but with the whole zone scaling appropriately even that wasn't much of an issue.Transferring off of Gilgamesh to a quieter server was the best decision I ever made. Plus after I left it started a movement in my FC of people who had been wanting to move but didn't want to go somewhere that they didn't know anyone. A good 10-15 people have now joined me and we're going to restart our FC from Balmung. We'll see if even more get fed up with the queues in the coming days.

So you're telling paying customers that they can't play where they want because SE obviously can't handle the people flooding in - and how do you do that:Transferring off of Gilgamesh to a quieter server was the best decision I ever made. "Look there is the door, go to another server - and if you don't go it's your own fault for having long queue times".
Impressive reversal of a burden of proof if I've ever seen one.

Im saying that people know what they're getting into. Balmung and Gilgamesh and like servers have been character locked since the dawn of time but people still paid to transfer into them knowing full well that they were going to be overpopulated. SE tried to get people to move off of those servers by offering free transfers off in order to help their player base avoid the very same problems that people are complaining about. So yes. It is on the players who decide if they want to knowingly be on a server that has lots of congestion warnings on it during an expansion pack launch. It's not like you weren't warned that this was going to happen.
