Selling/Relinquishing Land for a Server Transfer as an FC leader...

So I have a few questions...Okay, ALOT of questions. If anyone can help me, I'd be thankful. I have a headache trying to figure this all out.

I'm the leader of an FC (a defunct one sadly), and was planning on moving to a new server due to my own being heavily congested. The FC does have a small plot and house, and I have a friend that would like to buy the plot when I transfer.

After reading through the wiki and the many patch notes I came to the conclusion that I could probably demolish the house and relinquish the land to get 80% of the gil back. However I read conflicting statements saying relinquishing land won't give any gil back at all. The only way to get the 80% is to wait 45 days. Is this true?

If that's the case, then I have a few thoughts on what to do, both having questions tied to them. (continued)

1. I can simply demolish everything and leave. With the server transfer bonuses, since I'm the current FC leader I should be refunded all the gil put into the land + 3 mil for compensation of unpick-uppable furniture. Keyword there is "Should". I wasn't the initial owner of the FC (he left years ago). So...

Question 1: Since I inherited the FC, do those bonuses come with me? Or should I disband the FC first completely and then switch servers? Will the plot still be mine?

Question 2: What happens to the plot when I switch? Does it immediately come up for sale when I transfer, or is there a grace period? I want to make sure my friend gets this plot when I'm gone.

2. The second option is to have my friend temporarily join my FC. He gives me the money I would've obtained from Option 1 (8 mil I believe, as the plot was 5 mil). I can then make him leader, then he should be able to demolish the house, disband the FC, then take over the plot...right?

Question 1: Would this work?

Question 2: He wants it to be a Private Residence. Would he be able to do that if he disbands the FC? Is there any downsides or extra money (other than a new house) tied to switching an FC deeded land to a Private Residence?

So those are the options I'm thinking of currently. If there are any other better options, I'm open to suggestions. In summary - I wanna switch servers and get the benefits of switching servers while my friend gets the plot I leave behind.

You can edit a post to get past the limit. It's likely a simple numeric value in a textbox someone can spend a few seconds changing, but for whatever reason they've seen it fit to keep it an annoyance.

First, there are only two ways you'll currently get gil back from the system:
a. Wait 45 days and you get 80% of the plot price back.
b. If the plot is personal (not fc) and you clear everything off it (don't relinquish the estate), you get the original purchase price + 3 mil gil when you do the special transfer they just set up to depopulate the overcrowded servers a bit.

Neither of these help you if you're looking to transfer now since you stated this was an fc owned estate. If your friend wants the estate for a personal house, it will have to be relinquished before he can buy the plot for the full price again from the server.

Thanks for answering, and yeah I figured that out eventually. We ended up doing the second option, only since it was indeed FC property, I gave him ownership of the FC and he's going to sit on the property until it auto-relinquishes or he gets enough money to do it early.
