[HELP] Your Retainer has reached the max level...NOPE!

Hello,

I have 2 Hunters retainer level 60. The problem is that i'm AST since HW, and they are WHM.
They dont level up unless i level up the WHM: "Coco has reached maximum level", not true since now is 65.

I read on internet that if your retainer is a Conjurer level 60 you can change the SOUL job without starting over (make sense) but NOPE! (Unfortunatly i tried that and my Retainer is now a level 1 conjurer.)

Now SE, with all the players changing job, the Retainers CAN'T be linked to 1 job. Make possible to change the soul of the JOB without starting over.

I dont want to believe that the only way to level up my retainers is to level up the WHM or starting from level 1 and make both of them AST.
I know lot of people that cant level up their retainers because they are on another job.

Example:
Retainers level 60 conjurer can be able to switch SOUL job between AST/SCH/WHM without starting over and so on like this.
I hope you can consider this option. Thanks

I switched my lv 60 SMN retainer to AST for 40 venture coins and it changed to lv 60 AST.

You can change a Conjurer to White Mage and they keep their lvl.
You can change a Gladiator to a Paladin and they keep their lvl.
You can change a Pugilist to a Monk and they keep their lvl.

You change WHM to AST they start don't get to keep the lvl since it's a whole new job.
Atleast that's how I understand it.
I'm not sure if you change back to WMH they keep their previous lvl, never tried it myself.

That's cool, can you explain how? I bought the Modern Vacation for 40 venture but no options/choice popped up to use it on my retainer. He is back to level 1 Conjurer.

When talking witht that NPC this are the option you have:

"Ask about assigning your retaier a job"
"Ask about job requirements"
"Purchase a copy of modern Vocation"

That's all, i have the Modern Vocation in my inventory but there are no options to actually use it, even on my second retainer still level 60 WHM. If he was lvl 60 Conjurer maybe there was the option to put him the AST soul, but since he have the WHM one i cant.

I think it is something like this:

You change your retainer to another class with using the option in the retainer menu = retainer start at level 1 again
You change your retainer to another job by talking with the retainer NPC in the city market places and pay with 40 venture coins = your retainer keep the level

I think they keep their level only if the Retainer dont have a SOUL already equipped, example: "Conjurer level 60" can be AST by purchasing that copy of modern Vocation.

It can be that he was just an Arcanist. All what I noticed before changing was the book in the weapon slot.
