It's been a freaking week and I still can't pass it.

Did you figure out the Fire1 thing? That was the best advice all thread; you're basically playing in hard mode if you're relying on hardcasting Fire3 for the bulk of your damage.

No, I did. And it's still hasn't helped. I'm going about this all the wrong way, obviously. I'm just not doing well enough. Maybe I need to lvl up something else to take into the fight?

Hm, I think I did it as BLM back in the day and levels/gear weren't what they are now (you are wearing better gear than I had for sure). The recent spell rebalance might not be helping. You mentioned that they told you to remove Lightning (Thunder) too; I always find this quite handy in this kind of fight as you can spread it around a bit while you're in your ice phase and Thundercloud will start appearing often enough that you get lots of free instant damage on top of your usual fire magic.

I'm going to revamp my rotation completely. I'm totally a noob when it comes to BLM and rotation and the lot, so I made another post asking for help in that area too. Maybe that'll help.

I don't mess with her, she's supposed to be taken alive. I take out the medicus first, then the Centurion (magitek), the next wave pops before I am able to finish killing the Centurion, but it's almost dead so I'm able to finish it off, and then I kill the Claws, and then the Aquilifer who heals the Colossus, and then the guides say to kill the Colossus, but by now only one of my NPCs is left alive and he is almost dead and I fail the duty since he dies...

It took me 4 or 5 tries to do it on SMN. Same issue - NPC kept dying and sadly my egi was useless.

The solution was from the echoes I think. Keep doing it and eventually you get enough power to win.

Try to get agro on all the things and kite (tough on BLM) as much as you can. When Yuguri comes in there are puddles on the ground you are supposed to kite stuff through or something.
