I'm wondering what changed. Or maybe it helps that there were new jobs of each role, or that the first new dungeon was optional?

Nineth quest in at level 50: At the End of Our Hope. You had to track the heretics to their lair, following footprints and beating a few minions down. Similarly, Best Served with Cold Steel is eighth for Stormblood.

Difference:
Players had the option to do first the MSQ in Western Coerthas (with Redwald against Heretics) and then in the Abalathic Cloud of Sea (with Emmanellain against Vanu Vanu) or the other way.

And both ways ended at a solo instance at the same time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the instance server shared anyway, hence why SE is worried about duty finder crashing, people are getting stuck even at non-Raubahn solo instances and even low pop servers have issues?

Difference: Despite all of SB's negative server errors during event movement, covfefe

Like there is another MSQ quest chain in the other area that is accessible just like HW. I feel like a lot of the problems are from SE not properly taking into account the number of players who joined during HW and those who came back so they put this solo instance limitation in place.
The other one is extremely short though, so it barely diverted players into seperate zones.Like there is another MSQ quest chain in the other area that is accessible just like HW.
