Regarding The Demon of Mythril Pit T-3

Hello again, voidsents of the LOC team!

Today I read with Great pleasure the latest article of the Mythril Eye by Havak Alvak.
I also noticed the nice picture of Ifrit and the subsequent Eorzean text. When trying to decipher it, I discrovered it was the first paragraph of the article (duh!), however I though about something else.

For future lore-related posts, would it be possible to have higher resolution versions of pictures with Eorzean characters (or pictures in general), so that we can download them? I really like to read articles in the Eorzean alphabet (I also suggested in my “Library” Topic in my sig about certain books of Eorzea being written only in Eorzean characters, left to us to decipher) and it would be nice to have them at a higher resolution, even if you also provide the English translation.
It's unusual to request this to the LOC Team, but I wanted to give it a shot.


Speaking about lore (finally I've some time to do it!), I also noticed something else of interest:

“eight summers past, in the Year 1564 of the Sixth Astral Era”

As I've yet to complete the main storyline and other quests, I'm not positive if the precise year we're in was ever mentioned in Eorzea (was it?). So this means that we're in the Year 1572 of the Sixth Astral Era, with the Seventh Umbral Era approaching.

Lastly, I'm pretty sure I've already heard the name “Company of Heroes” in Eorzea, but I can't remember when it was mentioned... Any adventurer here do?
While for the Mythril Pit T-3 (wherever it may be located), I think it was the first time I ever heard it.

Sorry about not getting back to you earlier. With all the 1.20 and 1.20a work, it has been fairly hectic here lately. I've passed along your suggestion about getting higher resolution versions of the images that go up on the Lodestone. Hopefully our art and web teams will see the light and start making them available soon.

As for you second inquiry about the current year in Eorzea, you are correct. It is indeed the year 1572 of the Sixth Astral Era. This can also be confirmed in another Lodestone post that states the Garlean invasion of Ala Mhigo (which is widely known to have occurred 15 summers past) took place in the year 1557.

Finally, info on the Company of Heroes can be found in the main scenario storyline, as well as in a few sidequests and from a couple of random NPCs...but to date, little has been revealed.

Ah, so I was remembering correctly about the Company of Heroes, it was indeed already mentioned in the past. Too bad I can't find in my folders those couple of NPCs talking about it... If other adventurers here know about them or the sidequests the CoH is mentioned, please let me know.


P.S.: Oh, and Ferne, a side note for my appreciation as an explorer in the Achievements-related NPCs that have their own story. Millith Ironheart in Buscarron's Fold, for instance, gave me some interesting tidbits on the Gelmorra Ruins – one of the places I've always been curious about, learn its history and all, like Proud Creek and the origin of its name straight above – and she said that this forgotten civilization, an underground city in the past, is just waiting to be discovered, and that's also Millith's purpose... and mine!
I'll definitely be looking forward to it by 2.0!
