    Stormblood Job Questline Lore?

I'm surprised no one's set up a thread for this yet.

At the moment, I'm only leveling Bard with a little bit of White Mage on the side (though I have every job at 60+). Considering the vast majority of us are walled behind a certain MSQ duty or two, I'm only going to provide basic almost spoiler-free summaries of the start of each job I've done the beginning quests for.

    Bard:
Sanson and Guydelot have succeeded in establishing their Bard unit, though there aren't any other Bards in it yet. Sanson asks you to assist in the unit's first outing, and you head off together to receive your first orders from Commander Vorsaile. As it turns out, the Twin Adders got an anonymous letter about a tome that contains a damning secret about the Autumn War, and they want your unit to quietly investigate. Sanson wonders if the Twin Adders will try to suppress the unit's findings if it turns out the tome has information that casts Gridania in an unfavorable light, but the group is assured that they'll be properly recognized and compensated for their efforts.

You set out to meet the letter's sender, a man named Nourval who doesn't actually have the tome, but knows that it is somewhere in Gyr Abania. Thus continues the tradition of the Bard quests being a grand world-building adventure, rather than dealing with any immediate crisis.

    White Mage:
A disturbance is agitating the Elementals, and you're asked to go to the Conjurer's Guild to see if there's any way you can assist. Guildmaster E-Sumi-Yan explains that whatever the Elementals are concerned about appears to be somewhere in East End, the war-torn borderlands between Gyr Abania and Gridania. The Guildmaster asks you to travel with him to the area to investigate, being followed by Sylphie (remember her from the 1-30 Conjurer quests?) along the way. Sylphie, now more confident in her abilities and claiming to feel the Elementals' plight, asks to accompany you, and the Guildmaster protests at first before relenting.

After the group makes their way across Castrum Oriens, the group splits up to see if they can locate the source. You run into a strange boy and a huntress who flee. The others catch up immediately afterwards, with Sylphie implying that the Elementals may have been concerned about what you had just seen. Alas, the Guildmaster has to return to the Conjurer's Guild, but bids you to stay to investigate further and to watch over Sylphie's progress.

    Bonus: Gathering jobs

    Botanist:
The Botanist guildmaster hears of a job in Idyllshire, and asks you to accompany her to the region. You end up running into another Botanist who actually manages the farm on the southern side of the city, concerned with Idyllshire's long term economy in relation to neighboring cities. She wants to cultivate a unique crop that Idyllshire can then use to trade with other cities.

(Possible unique dialogue note: Edgyth the Botanist is actually already aware of the player character's fame, especially thanking you for clearing out Saint Mocianne's Arboretum and bringing back a wealth of knowledge for the fledgling city to use.)

    Miner:
The Miner guildmaster hears of a unique job in Idyllshire, but tells you nothing about what it entails, asking you to see for yourself. It turns out your potential employer is the Goblin known as Stickqix, along with his entire crew recruited throughout the 3.x series inside Idyllshire's factory. Stickqix is learning how to speak as an Uplander would, knowing that not doing so would result in potential lost business opportunities.

It turns out his group wants to build something called the Gobroller, which they want to use to reclaim the Sharlayan ruins from the Illumnati. Your role is to gather the rare materials necessary for this endeavor, while the rest of the factory is to assemble the machine.

    Fisher:
Master Wawalago appears to be acting VERY strangely as of late, and Sisipu asks you to go investigate. He assures you that he isn't part of anything mostly suspicious, and asks you to meet him in Lower La Noscea to see for yourself.

It turns out he had made friends with a Sahagin named Govv, after he accidentally reeled him in. They had apparently gotten into a brief scuffle until they both realized they shared a common love for the sea and its bounties. Govv is concerned about a special fish that had disappeared as of late. Other Sahagin had assured him that maybe their migration patterns have changed, or gone to better waters, but Govv refuses to accept that. After all, his earlier scuffle with the master fisher was due to a belief that the shorewalkers were overfishing. The group resolves to look for it, also honing your own fishing skills along the way.

(Possible unique dialogue note: If you have done the Sahagin Beast Tribe quests, Wawalago mentions to Govv that you're already friends with others of his kind.)

    ---

Anyone else want to add? If you're one of the few that got through the MSQ gate and have fully completed your job quests, please hide your summaries behind spoiler boxes.
