I beg to differ. I genuinely resubbed a bit earlier than I planned to so I could get early access. This is still taking days off of my subscription time. The sub clock doesn't stop while we're being asked to wait. <.< Plus they got my Stormblood expansion fee early on the pre-order. I certainly did pay for this as it was advertised as an incentive for early involvement. It is also beneficial to SE as a business when they can get pre-order sales figures. I do think that people are overreacting or just being uncivil with their displeasure though. Calling for Yoshi P. to step down is a bit too far, for instance.

I also spoke with a Thomas in customer support. He was very rude as well. I asked if it's possible to just be moved to a new location as some people have benefited from that in the support in-game. I feel like the pre-order price should be refunded.

Well ah, you... Didn't actually pay for pre-order. Its the same cost for the full copy, you just got it as a bonus.

And SB was going to release on the 16th no matter what. "Early access" isnt some "free bonus" its the real legit release, but with the "limited time only" tag line, to try and force people into action, who were somewhat on the fence about it.

The 16th is the real release, and they only block non purchasers, because if they didnt, then people would know they arent being forced to make impulse purchases, and can take more time to decide.

This also doesnt effect the majority, nor come close to it.

By calling the 1st 4 days early access, it's no different than if the game released the 16th, and u couldnt play, until u paid.
Nothing "FREE" was given.
A service was offered, with a "fake timer", which requires purchase in said "fake timer". (Obviously there was no timer, because there is nothing different from buying it now, and playing now, than buying it the 20th, playing the 20th, and buying it the 30th, and playing the 30th)

I do think the OP is over reacting, but the quote you are trying to counter argue against is correct.

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. Although the content of the game was made available on June 16th due to patch, the expansion isn't truly "live" until June 20th. All websites do promote that date, as well as tagged in Square-Enix's promotional images. They also do advertise the early access date as a pre-order bonus. Also, if you were to order the game online from Amazon for example, they will be sending you a CD in the mail.
