I'm tired, these posts are getting repetitive so I'm going to make a new thread with my findings...

I'm almost certain given my personal experiences and information since the NADC upgrade, I have gained understand the meaning. This game, like many other MMORPG's have several layers of servers working together to make everything work, I have identified 3 sets: Log-in, World, Data Center

Log-In:
The server that directs our connections to the popper data center and world.

World:
The server that handles functions of the game world that are generated by your client. (terrain, sound, animations, IG time passage and other visuals), 'local' chat

Data Center:
Instances, inbound and outbound Server and Client Synhing, Character data.

That's the rough breakdown, anyways From what I can tell its the 'inbound and outbound Server and Client Syncing' system that is the issue here, hardware, software or both, this has the most proof to being the culprit.

The observed issues and testimonials of others is the ability to maintain a smooth connection across all connected server system with the increased congestion. This is an issue that is affecting all ffxiv players, not just SB content, and not just a single area, its affecting all facets of gameplay. Areas where the use of this syncing highway are reduced proportionately increases the chances of success, like queuing for POTD with a fixed over matched party has better chances since the syncing is kept to a single world, using DF or PF decreases success chances substantially. For the individual quest and MSQ instances this is by far the worst situation -- Each player trying to participate sends a request, hundreds of thousands of players sending requests near simultaneously across the data center is simulating a DDOS attack, even if they aren't connected, the instance portion still has to send back a falure/error message by the time the request is processed, even tho the error shows near instantly because the connection times out.

I'm not saying we are causing the issue, we just make it worse with these impatient acts, like picking off a scab because it itches and not being able to figure out why it wont heal.

The root of this issue is in the hardware and/or software of the new data center, I spotted problems right after and continued seeing them...they were brushed off because of the server move, me being on the east coast and now they are in the west coast. I tried making connections, some of my initial possibles were incorrect, some have proven to indeed be affected variables. Thanks to the great posts of others outlining their issues, I am almost certain the NADC upgrade is the cause, not because its location was moved, its because something is conflicting or was done incorrectly from the beginning and did not show up as strongly until after the congestion. Its like instead of just picking our own scabs off unknowingly cause it itches, now we have hundreds of thousands of people going after the same scab constantly cause they cant be satisfied and turned this into a dire situation that was previously ignored.

TL: DR -- SB isn't to blame, its an underlying server issue affecting all NA players that wont be fixed easily or quickly, as such we need to trust in the Japanese spirit to do whats right, believe in Yoshi P! (yes this was the short ver)
