how genuinely sad I am. I was so hyped and excited for stormblood, I was really looking forward to it. And I'm sure I'll enjoy it eventually but as of right now I'm sort of over it. I can't do anything. Im stuck doing old content with a new class if I want to enjoy anything. It's sad to get home from work and know that I can't even play and just have to deal with it because there's no fix coming. This is it. This is what its going to be like for this weekend clearly.

For those of you who've made it through congrats but for the rest of us, share your disappointment here. Lets commiserate together lol

I'm in the same boat.

Was genuinely excited to experience the MSQ and run all the new dungeons and Primals, but I can't do any of that.

I'm really not angry... just disappointed.

I'm just really sad, honestly. I had been away from the game for quite some time, and I came back because someone told me about the whole Early Start thing. So, I bought the digital deluxe expansion, 6 months of game time with associated additional retainer fees, and some service fees to get myself to my friends and get started with all the awesomeness. We've got 2 people in my FC that have made it past Cold Steel. Half of us are stuck in cyclic 90000 errors, and the other half are sitting at Raubahn and praying.

I just finally got out of my own cycle of 90k errors, so I'm back to praying at Raubahn... Meh. I wish there were at least more side quests available before this bottleneck.

That's bs. Most of the people playing this game have already been playing in the EA. Only a small handful of players are actually waiting until release to buy the game.

That doesn't matter. The game is down. We are paying for a working product. If Stormblood EA were a week from now and this was happening, would be like "Relax, SB isn't even out yet?" No. A paid product needs to work, or else there needs to be compensation. We're not incapable of understanding the limitations of an online game, especially an MMO, but to hand-wave this away like it's not a thing just because of EA is stupid.

If the issues were purely contained to Stormblood related content you would somewhat have a point. But are you telling me content like palace of the dead and Sastasha are included in the early access?

How about the servers themselves? Are those "early access" as well?

Multiple parts of the game are breaking or cycling periods where they are completely inaccessible to people who haven't even bought Stormblood and are still actively paying their subscriptions.

But i guess they should be content with the servers breaking over an "early access" they haven't paid for.

This entire situation was foreseeable and preventable but this is the boat we're in until it is fixed, so lets not continue to play the "Early access" card as if it's only having an effect on the people who preordered the expansion.

THIS. I heard of people having issues entering Stormblood instances, so I thought I was playing it safe by entering Palace of the Dead to exp until the issues were resolved.

... Instead of properly entering POTD, I got 900002 errors, and then got stuck in a horrific endless loop of errors and wait queues. Try to enter game, wait 10-15 mins for the queue... only to find that once the loading screen appears, get a 900002 right after it and booted back to the main menu.

I literally couldn't even get back in the game to try to boot myself out of POTD... literally was not able to play any part of the game, so I gave up after over an hour and did something else.

This whole weekend launch is a farce.

EA =/= beta. The game isn't officially out when it's in a testing phase. This is not a testing phase, this is, in all honesty, the official release. As was already mentioned, most of the people who will be playing on the 20th are already playing because we all had so much time to pre-order. We are supposed to be getting early access to a fully functional, fully working product. You people need to stop using this as a defense for this disastrous launch, because it's really not any sort of defense at all. :/

That said: I'm incredibly sad too. I was so hyped for this. I was going to stay up all night, rocket up to 70 all this weekend, geek out over the MSQ... and I'm stuck doing not much of anything. I'm playing old content, and that's when I'm NOT getting 90k'd from it. The new jobs are nice, but that's about the only thing I can play of the new content right now, and that's not even what I was most hyped for. The thing I was most hyped for was to explore, experience new battles, and experience the new story; all of which I am gated out of. It's very frustrating, and very sad.

I was looking forward to this weekend. Instead, I'll just have to wait until "whenever" for this to be fixed.
