2.0 was a complete and utter total disaster for a launch.

At least with 2.0 you could access 100% of the content, just with the risk of being disconnected every so often.

They're functionally the same for me right now. 90k disconnects left and right, all day, probably all night.

With Diablo 3, you couldn't access the game, period. XIV 1.0 literally broke the game. Stormblood may be a mess at the moment, but it's not even close to some of the more publicized expansion flops.

In fairness, I'm not sure it's appropriate to compare brand-new game launches to expansion packs. XIV 1.0 was new; D3 was new. Stormblood is a second expansion.

And, yes, I'm aware I compared Stormblood to HL2 in my own post - so I hardly followed my own advice. This just occurred to me later.

I don't remember having any issues with Diablo 3 myself .. or 1.0. in the last 20 years I can remember every MMO launch that was terrible .. and neither of those are on my list.

Nah. You must not remember error 3102, where you would be DC'd from the game and your character would stay logged in, for days sometimes, I think. The devs had to go around and manually log people out one by one if I recall correctly.
