For melee dps i will say 10/10 (if that was possible i will have said 12)
Even with what's happening in PvP with frontline and feast I give it a solid 7/10. I love the route they took with the PvP action bar; as well as how the combo system is. It reminds me a lot of how Blade and Soul is and I'm very use to that system. With just the two classes I have WAR and SAM they are both fun! ^_^
I think it's not a bad direction, but I feel like they need to say, "Okay, this is our starting point, time to tweak and adjust from here until we get it to a better place..."
A world PvP zone with its own rewards or something might also be nice...
- 100
because it is imbalanced, removed skills you relied on before and to make matters worse you cant disable - for now - the new pvp hotbar bullshit..
but hey, lets make it more user friendly with rotations combos because ppl are too damn lazy or stupid to press 3 buttons in a row
It's still there, you just have to utilize it differently. Before you couldn't use stealth in combat. At least now you can, and there are benefits from using it on a 40% or lower target if you build Ninki up before it goes up Kakuremi > Mug > Main Combo > Mug > Main Combo > Hidden > Assassinate > Bhavacakra.
Takes practice but feeling like a Ninja is there i promise. Also Shukuchi will save you from groups if you know how to Katon and teleport out. Especially since Katon/Hyoton/Raiton resets your Shukuchi timer.
0 Melee DPS are useless. Not only is there no CC, but now casters can cast while moving and can melt you while you sprint and use movement abilities? What's the point even? I don't understand it.
Seriously what is their role even supposed to be? Skewer? We definitely don't do enough damage to merit being so handicapped compared to everyone else so I legit don't understand the game design of melee now. Just walk off from our LB and we lose it, heal all you like I can't stop you. Even with the teleport and sprint you can't escape a BLM burning your back on SAM.
Maybe Yoshida just wanted to have a good time on his BLM, because if the goal was to crush melee into oblivion you succeeded.

There's no more tactical use. You can't stealth cap, you can't pretend your camp is empty. You can't scout for the team. You can't bait people off course and vanish. It's just another ability you use in a rotation now. It's not stealth, it's a prerequisite for a debuff and dot. It's still there, you just have to utilize it differently. 1/10
From a new-player perspective: I started playing few weeks ago and I'm about to finish vanilla story. I absolutely love classes in ffxiv and I'm having so much fun with the game. Today I had to level from 46-49 to access next main quest so I tried PVP because I'm a huge PVP fan and I was looking forward to it. I was utterly dissapointed, my bard lost almost all his abilities and my whole PVP experience was just pressing 123. I don't know why they decided to prune all the spells, but it makes PVP a boring snoozefest that requires no skill. I would prefer having all my spells just like in PVP (maybe with different numbers for balance)
