People are talking about blue mage being the a possible new job introduced in the next expansion. Blue mages use enemy skills. I know that there is more than that to blue mage. Correct me if I'm wrong. It would be interesting for them to learn the skills from a beast, or rather a Lupin. A Lupin could be a master of Blue Magic. I don't know I'm just throwing it out there. Though, it would kind of make sense. But I'm not sure if what kind of weapon blue mages would wield. A gun blade? A whip?
Game on!!!

I don't know how good the source is but this is a interview that they did with Koji.

"When, if ever, will the wolf men in Yanxia be an official beast tribe?
For all intents and purposes, there are no beast tribes in the Far East, and this all comes down to the definition of “beast tribe.” The term is one of Eorzean/Garlean origin used to describe those dastardly “spoken” (the scientific category of living beings that possess a distinct language) living in Eorzea who feel the need to not play by the rules and run about doing all manner of forbidden nastiness like claiming ancestral land as their own or summoning false deities (eikons/primals).
While an Eorzean may look at the Kojin or the Namazu, the Lupin, or even Dalmasca’s Bangaa and assume they fall under “beastmen,” the denizens of the Far East simply see them as another race amongst many, and you should never hear someone from Doma or Hingashi refer to those races as beast tribes. (And if you do, it’s probably a bug and should be reported on the Lodestone LOC forums!)"

Tell that to the triple triad cards that categorize the Namazu and Lupin under the "Beastmen" category. And I'm pretty sure the Namazu and Lupin TT NPCs have no problem with their cards being regarded as such AFAIK.I don't know how good the source is but this is a interview that they did with Koji.

"Break a warrior's body, and he will thirst for vengeance. Break his spirit, and he will clamor for peace. Judge my methods distasteful if you will - but know that I seek to end this conflict, not prolong it." - Yadovv Gah, Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn

I'm not sure where to label Triple Triad though. Where did it originate from? Isn't Eorzean?
O man! I would give up my au ru in a heartbeat to be a lupin

Is this an appropriate time to necro this thread after the recent Fan Fest saying "it's up to the players if we add more races"? If so, I'm definitely putting in my vote to add the Lupin as a playable race!
pls no more furries
update existing races, there is so much potential - tattoos, voices, butt slider, feet/hand updates, "non-stereotype pretty" options, more horns/scales/face combo options on Au'ra/Viera/Miqote - or players will just use mods I guess
