Guild Marks: What purpose will they serve?

I'd like to get the ball rolling on a little discussion on guild marks and what their purpose will serve in the future. A topic was raised in general discussion asking about what role class guilds will play in the future, and my own little comment started snowballing in my own head.

I think a neat/interesting idea for guild marks in the future would be the ability to purchase Job/Class specific items through the guild. I would like to see the implementation of things such as:

- Materia not obtainable through Spirtibonding. (ex. Marauder Head Slot Materia: Grants additional damage to {insert weapon skill}, things of that nature, additional duration to affects, blahblahblah)
- Gear (Could be vanity items, could be useful, just something unique.)
- Battle Items (ex. Potions, One-Time Buffs, etc.)

Other ideas would be:
- Pet Gear, make your Choco look like a DRG, or WHM, etc.
