Stuck on MSQ literally.

I don't understand why you have to grind content patch quests for access to new content. Haven't even been able to play HW content and i am lvl 52. This grind is the most borring thing i have ever done on a mmo, the back and forth. What really gets me is the duty quests. Most people are leveling and the queue times are over 30 mins average. So i queue'd and after 25 minutes of pure, soul crushing boredom it comes up. So i press commence and the game lost connection. I go check my internet. All is well. I try to reconnect... Wait for the player queue and the loading and when its all done... You guessed it! Lost connection.

All i want is to have fun and play the new content and be current so i can maybe be part of the content while it matters. I don't want to become instant 60 but i also don't want to do meaningless quests that give a small fraction of the xp from quests of the same level. Or HAVE to wait 30 minutes in queue just so i can do one quest i don't care for just to move the MSQ boredom train along. Sever stability is ok because of the new release. But when it is mixed with the MSQ Duty wait periods it makes me wish i had a copy of the game disk so i could hulk smash it.

Why not spend $25 more to get a Tales of Adventure: Heavensward™ and another $25 to get a Tales of Adventure: One Bard's Journey I so that you can skip all that boring content and get to the new content? Just give YoshiP all your shecke- I mean USD and he'll let you play the new content!

Im sure when the content patch quests where current that they where well worth doing. But going back and forth 4-6 times per quest just to talk to NPCs for 4k xp is incredibly dumb. That is like killing 2 mobs in a dungeon my level worth of xp. Bu t i cant do that... Not if i ever want to be done with the grind. Just keep running on that poor mount.

Actually, those quest gave no experience at all until about halfway through HW's lifespan when they decided to help folks like yourself out. We all did them with no experience payoff at all. Hell, I've done them all 4 times across 4 different characters. You'll get over it.

But not today though. Because i literally can't get into the dungeons that take 20+ minutes to commence. It's not the quests being boring or pointless that just makes it annoying. Its them being obligatory that makes it so when things go wrong players cannot even make any progress. Also the fact that the game used to be like this or even worse is no excuse and does not make it ok, quite the opposite in fact. The MSQ still being obligatory is borderline stupid in my opinion. Even more so when there are dungeons and other duties locked behind it. I could go level but what good is that going to do me if i wont see any new content?
