    PvP looks awesome

    I'm reading the new patch note with all the new pvp skill
    Omg it actually looks really fun.

    I'm especially interested by the BLM who has received the craziest change imo. Very well done.

    I've barely touched PvP during 2.0 and 3.0, but I think I'll queue for a PvP match right after logging in. I'm really excited

    Glad you're excited. I hope a large amount of people feel the same way and really energise the pvp in this game. Most of the changes make absolute sense, and even the more controversial ones are probably going to be positives in practice.

    I find it kinda funny how 30 sec sleep turn into 3 sec sleep in the end. Pvp have changed so much from wolves den times.

    Let's try it first, shall we. Healers look much more buffed than dps and tanks and can't be interrupted anymore. If you'll not be able to kill anyone, it'll be far from fun.

    By looking at the potency, it will all come down to what regen healers will have.
    As long as they'll have mana and they aren't bursted down by 4 player at once, yeah they shouldnt have too much trouble.
    But I wonder for how long we'll be able to spam rank2 heals.
    We'll be granted 10k mana, rank2 heal costing 1000mp, the blue bar will go down very quick


    Now what will be our regen? Assuming we can effectively run oom (otherwise what's the point of mana cost?) and that rank2 heal has 4x the cost of rank1,

    It will probably be 2% per 3sec as usual. so 200mp/3
    if it's around 250mp / 3sec (would allow almost indefinite rank1 spam), then it would take roughly 30sec to make a healer run dry by forcing him to spam rank2.
    I doubt we'll be granted more than 250mp/3sec.

    I wouldn't worry too much. Even if your group won't be able to burst down someone, the healer will eventually run dry. DPS can't miss ressource as only some skill require TP/MP (the bursting one basically)


    Interestingly, healer have very different strength and weakness

    AST has no HoT but Synastry which can be up 100% of the time (nurfed to 25% for obvious reasons)
    WHM is the only heal with a HoT, lilies proc and CDR% are buffed through the roof, also has the most instants heals.
    SCH seems to be the most "on demand heal" and agressive healer with Broil new effects.

    AST is actually incredibly movile with Essential Dignity being on a 15s CD and Benefic making the next cast instant.
    SCH is much more threatening on the offense with Broils TP+MP damage, and the Lustrates per minute are really good. Broil in particular is really intimidating to most people and it can really wear down on healers.
    WHM is really well-rounded, having the only regen and AoE healing save for Adrenaline with Assize, and it also has the most mitigation with Divine and Protect. Plus, their offensive support with Stone III's Heavy is a great Assist tool, unlike AST's Malefic III.

    I think they're all really fun, though. If the healer is skilled enough, you can survive for a LONG time as long as the party stays together, but the healing output is much lower than in the old PvP. I think the changes are pretty good in general.

    I heal with whm and sometimes with Ast. I'm actually healing the same as I did before storm blood, however not as much as when they nerfed whm in the last patch. On a good game I'd average around 1.5 mil hp restored. When they nerfed whm I averaged around 1 mil. And now I'm healing around 1m despite only having one regen and a semi aoe heal. I do miss the CCs though only having fluid aura now kinda sucks.

    On the bright side, it looks like healing CDs weren't reduced as much as damage CDs and the CDs aren't quite as numerous as I thought. We did get a massive hit to damage with crit being removed, though. Autoattacks got killed as well.

    Gotta see how it pans out, but truth be told? I don't see anything dying until the healer goes OOM.
