Having to reinstall updates?

HI, due to a power outage my PS4 didn't shut down properly and now when I launch the game and sign in, it starts a massive update even with my high download speeds. I chevk FF14's updates on the side menu thing an the game is fully up to date. What is this and is anyone else having this problem?

The download size is 22749.42MB! I have no idea how much that is in GB, needless to say, pretty pissed off.

Same thing just happened to me. Power blinked for a second now I get to download 19gigs to log back on. Good stuff :/

My launcher downloaded 22 GB after I deleted it to install it new.
It seem it download all the patches from 2.1 until 4.0 again.

Same exact thing just happened to me 10 mins ago. Power went out because it started to storm and my PS4 lost power. Upon turning it on and restarted the game client, I am now downloading a large update (22749.42mb) with 183 mins remaining

Theres a lengthy thread on the bugs forum but maybe itll get more attention here. Same thing is happening to me. Expect to have to redownload it entirely everytime you restart your system :/

File corruption because of the power getting turned off during data read/write.


Remember all those warnings about not removing memory cards, turning off the system, closing the game when the 'save icon' is shown on screen.
This is the result of that, the game has to redownload the files since they've become corrupted because of the loss in power while it was messing with them.
