Where are all the Community Managers at?

I've played a lot of games in my life. A lot of MMORPGs. I have never in my life seen a game that is so big, have no communication with the community like Final Fantasy has. If this were any other game, the community managers would be giving information, taking information, passing on things to the dev teams. No one knows anything about what is actually going on right now with the MSQ. If the answer is, it's working as intended and we will just have to wait until the players themselves get past the road block, then we need to know that. If there is a fix in the work, then we need to know that. I like most people are pretty aggravated about the actual issue, however everything is being compounded by the lack of communication from SE. One post to apologize per day isn't going to cut it.

I'm pretty sure the torch and pitchfork crowd got to them first. The last thing I heard from the moderator's was "oh god....OH GOD, THEY'RE IN THE BOOTH!!! NO, NOT THE FACE!!! I NEED THAT FOR FORUM MANAGING!!!" What the WAR players did to them was bad enough, but.... what the WHMs did is the stuff of nightmares.

I don't think there's anything else to add than what they've said. All of this, aside from possibly the way the MSQ was designed, comes down to server congestion. They didn't prepare for it adequately, and it isn't a problem you can solve as an afterthought over a day or two.

It's a problem that's here to stay for quite some time until they add new servers and facilitate transfering to those. I reckon their "plan" was to just muddle through the first week and hope the amount of simultaneous players simply balances out.
Except at this rate, it'll balance out because players simply stop trying to log in and cancel their subs. This is 2017, not 2007, and far from the standard of any MMO launch.

^More or less this, except it should say "Blizzard refused to say 'hi' and then the one employee (ghostcrawler) that actually decided to talk to the community was turned into a lightning rod for all of the vitriol the WoW forums and Twitter could muster up."

Now, in response to the OP; regarding the "lack" of communication, the community team has been updating these two pages to address some of the various concerns. If you refuse to actually check the front page of the Lodestone because you think the dev team needs to address each individual complaint on the forums, you are crazy.

They need to update the EU congested worlds I mean in about an hour my queue has gone down 1000 to log into Odin. That seems pretty congested to me xD
