Its been 24hrs and nothing's changed. If this is how this was designed I suggest you guys rethink some things. Where we all expecting server crashes and what not? Sure. That's normal.

But this isn't that, this is stupid design. Why create an instance battle this early? And one with absolutely no divergent path forcing every player to get there at the same time and then be shocked by the fact that it's congesting the server.

What's worst is this attitude of "actually it's exactly as we wanted it to work so just wait". Well I waited, I said nothing and I waited and tried and tried and tried again and again. So now what? What should I do? Wait another 24hours? Wait until release meaning early access was pointless?

@Landric - the problem is that the "wait, and it'll be fixed later" mentality completely ignores the fact that we paid for early access to this content. Waiting until after the expansion is officially live to be able to play the first three hours of content without huge bottlenecks completely negates the early access and trivializes players who took time off of work or made other sacrifices to be able to enjoy the new content.

Besides which, whether or not I finish the game too quickly and bore is nobody's business but mine; for my money, how I enjoy the game is my prerogative. I can say with certainty, though, that doing some of the new content would be a far sight less boring than the none I'm getting to do now. And if that isn't a problem to SE, then I'm very concerned about my stay in Eorzea moving forward.

You're gonna get a lot of flak, and rightfully so. This is just a bad argument. The big issue is so much content is gated behind this. We can't even explore the new zones fully because they are gated behind parts of the MSQ. And this isn't like XI where they added new content that didn't revolve around the MSQ. Once you unlocked Aht Urghan you got to explore it and it's adjacent areas, you got to participate in beseiged, do assaults, or ISNMs. So very little was locked. By comparison we got half of 2 zones, a handful of story quests and normal quests, and that's it. We can't even do the first dungeon because its gated.

So yes, people have every right to be angry. We can't even enjoy the game because it's all locked and they created a bottle neck with no solution after an entire day.

I cannot agree more. We paid for early access, not "unable to access due to poor service" access. People don't pay extra money for the chance to 90k and be blocked off by instances.

I know it sucks, but there's nothing anyone can do beside complain. Nothing will ever change. You know why? Because people will continue to pay and play and since this only happens for a few days once every 2 years or so, I don't see any changes coming soon. So might as well relax and wait for the big rush to pass. *shrugs*
