Questions about new Tales of Adventure booster for char/job leveling

Hello all!

So I've not played since early release. I own all the expansions but have not found time to play. I really want to get back into the game and an expansion is perfect for this typically but I'm not sure if that's possible with these boosters that will be available on the store given how FF 14's classes and levels work.

So my question is. If I buy one of each of these boosters, will I be able to start the StormBlood content on launch day and if so, will I be able to run any of the new dungeons when I reach them in StormBlood or will gear/weapon be an issue?

Researching, It appears there just is not enough time for me to complete everything needed by release without using these boosters "unless I quit my job", but don't want to waste the money on them if I can't get in on the ground floor of the expansion, meet some people and start working together with them. Maybe find a nice FC.

If you buy the booster to skip the HW main story and one of the job boosters, I imagine that yes, you would be able to get into SB immediately. As I recall, the job boost potions come complete with gear.

I... wouldn't necessarily recommend doing so unless you're prepared to do a lot of research on how your job works and common dungeon mechanics so that you're not a detriment to your parties, though.

Thank you for the info. I'm fluent with the game mechanics so that should not be an issue. An hour or testing and some keybindings setup and I will be good to go.

I would suggest you run the old dungeons at least once each. SE is fond of reusing old mechanics that share effects.

Like for example, this debuff icon was used in X dungeon so you know how to avoid it in Y dungeon. Or, that pattern on the ground means he's doing Z attack which he also used an a previous dungeon.
