Monthly Charges

Hey guys,

I'm a returning player to FFXIV. I'm a bit confused on the fee structure and monthly charges.

At the moment I have opted for a 3 months sub with 2 additional retainers; as per my calculations: 3 months sub is $26.97 + 2 retainers $4 = $30.97 which equates to 3,097 crysta.

However, when reviewing the List of Subscriptions it shows my next estimate service fees is 3,897 Crysta?!

I have no idea what the 800 crysta is for?

What am I missing?

I've never used Crysta, I just pay the service fee directly with my debit card. Is there a reason you need to use Crysta? Is it o bkyt available in certain increments causing you yo purchase more than needed?

It's just easier for me using crysta. but i doubt the payment method have anything to do with the amount.

I'm not charged in USD, but if the info available online isn't lying to me one retainer is 2USD a month, which makes total retainer cost for two retainers for three months 1200 crysta, not 400 crysta (which is the cost for one month of service for two retainers). I believe this may be the source of your confusion.

Yeah, the retainer fee isnt a one time cost, its recurring just like the subscription is. So yeah, thats where they figure the extra 800 crysta.

Right, each additional retainer is $2 PER MONTH.
