i actually do agree with this. no matter what age or where you are, if someone plans time to get into a game and then said game isn't working. Thats an inconvenience. We paid early to be able to play early. They got our money early, but we cant play as intended early. If our payment came with a disclaimer that the game maybe unplayable due to congestion, i would agree that we dont deserve anything, but that wasnt the case. This bad experience should be swept under the rug because people say " it always happens"

Who's to say we won't be too? Granted, I don't think we will, but it's entirely plausible that once the issue is solved we're given some free play time. Like I said I totally see his point regardless of the example.

I think most ppl are missing the point. None of this falls on the players. We paid for something and we are yet to get it. Yes this happens in most mmo games at launch but all that does is give the next launch data to look at to be prepared. This a fail on the developers plain and simple. They knew this would happen because it always happens. The overflow of players coming back was something that should have expected and prepared for. Yes this a new expansion but it's not the first new expansion on the first ever mmo, meaning they had plenty of other expansions and games to look at and say "we can't let that happen to our fans and customers". They didn't and here we are.

Actually their should be. This is affecting all players. People can't complete lvl 40 job quests due to this issue and potd is almost unplayable.

You can put your main on hold, and level other jobs with FATEs and PvP, or level DOL/DOH, its not a total loss.

Thats how you should be balancing the expansion anyway, use MSQ for main job only, FATE and side quests for other jobs.

Granted it is very frustrating not being able to go through the story, but dont expect any fixes until next week.

If you haven't bought Stormblood yet DONT! it's a disaster! this is a total failure...

5am first day stuck 20 min into the story... gave up at midnight... Next morning still busted and stuck at 20 min into storyline...

Then they dump this steaming pile on us...

We have implemented a temporary measure to address the issue of server crashes/heavy congestion in the Duty Finder.
After implementation, we continued to observe the situation and have confirmed that the issue is currently alleviated. As more players log in, we will continue to keep an eye on the server situation.

The so called "huge number of players" should of been known about and planned for instead you took the cheap way out and bottle necked the system, what you should of done was use data from the server load test, applied it to the registered pre-release codes and put a sufficient number of servers online to handle it... EARLY RELEASE I THINK NOT... WE ARE JUST A BUNCH OF FREE BETA TEST MONKEYS TO THEM...

There probably won't be. If I recall right, the comp for Warlords of Draenor was because it lasted nearly five days, and it was during the actual launch, not an 'early access' thing.

Then again, it has been past 24 hours and the best we've gotten is effectively "just turn it on and off again", so...
