Does the 60% chance make it worth while to use HT2 over HT1? I've been using it but the RNG can be a pain and you lose that CP + dura. I'm curious if you all love it.

I'm probably sticking with hasty I and careful synth I. The whole reason I use them is because they don't cost cp.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
Hard to say right now. I've been using my HW rotations with success so far. I have used CS3 here and there if it saves a step. I'd say the 7CP is worth saving a progress step. I've also used RS3 a few times.
I think these new abilities won't come into their own, if at all, until 60 though. If you recall from HW, the 51-59 recipes were easy enough. At 60 though, with only the level 59 and below gear available, the new recipes weren't simple. Some of the new abilities, like Precise Touch, became key.
I don't really see myself using them, but it's hard to say until I can actually unlock them and play with them. The reason I use Hasty Touch and Rapid Synth is because they're free.

I will definitely fit it into macro crafting as it is more consistent and makes the macro shorter than slapping a lot of extra hasty touches to compensate for RNG. It's a good intermediate step between crafting with hasty touches and going full basic touches for the 100% consistency.
Too bad it's currently bugged and can't be used in macros.
I have been using it sometimes to take the place of HT. It is certainly not reliable due to the 10% failure rate that I find annoying. But mathematically, it is more reliable than HT. And sometimes, 5 to 15 CP is something we can easily spare. Even 3x HT II is still cheaper than a single Basic Touch.
I have been grinding a lot of nuggets/ingots/lumbers etc using my own personal macros to gain EXP. Thus, I have a pretty big pool of those crafted mats. So when I need to make a product, it is almost unavoidable for me to use HQ mats. And because of that, I rarely need a high IQ stack, and so I have been mostly using Basic Touch instead of any kind of HT or HT II. But occasionally, I do like to gamble with a HT II just for the sake of gambling and make it more exciting, LOL!
“The best crafter is not the one with the best stats, but the one who makes the best use of one’s stats” – By Caimie Tsukino
I have just started working on my own crafting classes in SB, Camie, but while I aim for HQ in my crafting, I've taken to lowering my materials to NQ. This gives me the best experience of all - I'm relatively easily (thus far, barely working on level 61 recipes as level 60 classes) able to 100% things which means I'm getting, with rested, 350% bonus exp.
Remember, the exp bonus is based on how much Quality you add during the craft, and thus using HQ materials (which limits the amount of Quality you can add during by adding it beforehand) reduces the total exp you can get from any given synth.
I forgot about that since it's been so long since leveling crafters last. Thanks for the reminder!
CS3 is great as it replaces Standard Synethesis due to costing less CP (7 vs 15) while increasing Progress by the same amount.
Also looking at Garland Tools I THINK Manipulation II is better than WN II? Manipulation II costs 96 CP while WNII is 98 and they both suffer in similar ways.
Man II is superior, I think.
As long as you're not capped on CP (which is practically impossible), it will still benefit you. There are just too many actions that don't reduce durability that cause Waste Not's inefficiencies.
