I would not have ordered EA if I knew I wasn't going to be able to play it at all. I don't doubt others feel that way - it's basically preordering a weekend of frustration. Hour+ waits to log into the server, constant crashes and DCs from doing even job quest instances. The NPC bugs that kept us from progressing in the MSQ towards seeing Kugane and the new content - the major reason many of us got EA to begin with. I feel like there should be some recompense, some refund. I cannot even play the game normally and do my daily duties because of how unstable it's been and the wait to get back in. As someone who's spent a lot of money on this game, it's frustrating and needs to be addressed in a way that makes us feel like we aren't throwing money at nothing. Thank you.

I don't know if you're unfamiliar with the concept, but some people play this game with these people they call "friends", and they're not keen on jumping ship and leaving all these "friends" behind just because SE doesn't know how to handle a launch.

EDIT: I looked it up and the "rare mount" bonuses are just the chocobo feather tokens you get from the referral programs. Those of us with these "friends" largely already have these mounts.

Won't I have to pay the $18 fee to transfer back after everything (hopefully) settles down again? I shouldn't have to pay to enjoy something I'm already paying for twice (sub and EA order). Also, what Hecate said. I only know people on Balmung and couldn't explore the new material with them if I transferred.

What kind of shit reply is that? Happy it works for you but we are paying ordinary gaming time for this and the op absolutely right. Here is latest example from minutes ago;

Sign in over 3 hours ago just to be told there is 3200 players in queue. After pretty much exactly 3 hours manage to login, do a few quests and while riding along suddenly get exception error. Try to immediately relog but is met with 4700 people in queue.

You would at least think that the damn server sees you were online literally seconds ago and give you the VIP lane. Like in most other games I can think of. Because that is how you handle raids and dungeons from not falling apart.

So far my "early acccess" has been pretty damn late and I can only imagine what happens tomorrow when everyone and their dog tries to login.

Not as bad as your standard Blizzard/WoW launch but we all knew the servers will be bombarded in the most anticipated DLC launch of any MMO this year, or SE?

Actually, it's even better. If you transfer to a preferred world while this bonus program is going on, you're locked out of transferring that character anywhere for 90 days.

Characters that have transferred to a new World during the bonus period will be restricted from using the World transfer service for 90 days.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to harass anyone on the team working on this game and the servers, or put them down in any way. But addressing the problem with the idea that we should move from balmung / gilgamesh to provide a solution is a faulty way of thinking. On every online social game I've played there's always a main gathering spot, a hub. Be it area or server based. And the devs on every game have tried to shoo people away from said hub, to no avail. People like to be where other people are. It's that simple. Build the game to handle that bit of psychology because it will never change.

I feel your pain as a Balmung resident. I just want to level my SMN and RDM. Square why do this. Tempted to just go play XV and just leave this game for about a week or so.

edit; Wow sat for 2 hours waiting to get into the server, get back in I get booted again with 4,900 people infront. Yeah screw this, it's a huge waste of time, i'll come back to the game in a month or whenever they decide to actually fix the crap.

My record was three hours to log back on after gpose error'd the game into a hard crash.
