    Magic craftsmanship/ Craftsmanship tool tip

I would love to see what the item being made requires somewhere on the recipe. I don't know about anyone else but my idea of fun is not trying to guess if a recipe is Magic craftsmanship or craftsmanship.

I simple message somewhere before you make the item telling you if the recipe benefits from magic craftsmanship or craftsmanship. Why must we play the guessing game?

Some of the recipes can simply be guessed by using this much underrated skill called "common sense".
Would you put parts together with a Saw or a Claw Hammer(Carpenter)? Saw represents Craftsmanship, Claw Hammer M.Craftsmanship.

Would you make powders with an alembic or a mortar?

Would you make thread with a spinner or a needle?

Some might be hard to decide if both tools are equally suited/unsuited for making an item but those can usually be decided in 1 or 2 tries in their category (aka All cloth are physical and dyeing them is magical). Unfortunately the game can't account for every tool possible in the world so we have to live with it. (No loom to make cloth)
E.g. Cloth dyeing...nothing to do with spinner but is magical. I would use a simple bucket of dye and dip the cloth there but I digress.

If you want to be a decent crafter in this game, or in any MMO, open your eyes, observe and note things down.
After that, bolster your own notes with online information and contribute whatever that is missing to the databases. That is the community spirit.

Why play the guessing game? Because it IS part of the game of crafting.
Why guess where the mines are in Minesweeper? Because that IS part of the game of minesweeper. (the other part is to continually beat your own times)

Totally agree, a player should be expected to intuitively know whether craftsmanship or magic craftsmanship are required for a recipe...in a game that doesn't explain what either one does to the player, forcing them to stumble around blindly or look up information online. Right.

100% agree, but there is times when "wtf? do i make cloth with a needle?".... it wouldnt be a horrible thing if they just told you what hand to use, or even made it mandatory based on the synth. I know I'd appreciate it.

About as intuitive as hitting down to enter a pipe in Mario 1.
I don't recall the manual saying you can do that or for that matter having a sign that says "You can enter this pipe" when the screen scrolls by.

This would be nice to have. Or at least a list on Lodestone like they did with Materia converting.

It is ridiculous that players have to fumble around in the dark for something like this.
