GC items Fail = SE Fail

even if the opposite will happen ...they said it wouldn't happen at all. i personally don't care just saying. i don't care bout using my points for gear. if be all be gear is from gc i'd quit the game for sure. but on top that the only thing i want to use my gc for is scrolls for grinding craft ..so i'm saving all of mine till next years cap raise ...that way i'll have tons of scrolls to burn.

gc not worth fighting about, but se said it would not matter where you go and it's not true. you can only do caravans from your own city. it's why i picked uldah just so i knew people would be doing it there and it woudlnt' be empty all day long. though...lol it's empty anyway, and pointless addition less this patch fixed it..not see yet(still downloading><) and they are putting things in there that you would of wanted.

make them sellable, end of crying.

They said no GC will consistently favor the same classes, and therefore not to choose GC based on what classes you want gear for. Not only that, the best gear will not come from GCs. They still aren't.

The op and myself have every right to be upset whether or not the shield is the best or not what matters is that it's the shield he wants to use and that using it has been denied to him by SE.

add the fact that we choose our gc before this patch, lol.

no problem IF and WHEN they do it. for now we have a problem imho. that gear simply shouldn't be untradable, or we should be able to get the same exact gear (maybe with color change?) in every gc.

Yup. That will sure make each GC unique!

If the gear offered by GCs were best in game for slot, I'd agree and be supporting you guys. As it stands, they are untradeable and do not offer anything absolutely unique for their exclusivity. They are good. You can get crafted gear better once melded. Single melded even.

I have read every single post in this thread and think many posters are just being plain silly. Ok, please explain to me how any of the Grand Company's are currently balanced item wise? I mean currently as well I don't mean down the road I mean at 8pm est when the patch is finished and people log on to the game how is it balanced? Also posters have mentioned picking Grand Companys. I am not sure how long each poster has been playing for but I chose my Grand Company when that content was released. So, if I want gear from the Ul'dahn Grand Company how am I supposed to join that grand Company when I joined Gridania previously? I was previously told that it would not matter what Grand Company I joined because they would all be balanced. Which brings me back to what I previously stated how is this balanced content? As for Licont Ashontear being a competent tank, troll, and elitest pig. Yes, he is elitest he wants the best gear he can obtain. I have played with him and he is that. As for being a competent tank yes he is exactly that I have played with many people on the Melmond server and he does a fantastic job tanking. I have yet to play a better tank on Melmond that still plays. As for being a troll. Yes, he is a troll lol. But he only trolls in response to trolling. He brought up a subject that is valid. This is not a balanced patch for Grand Companys. He did not bring it up in the best of ways but he still brought it up. Yes, some of you may be sick of everyone having simular or the same gear. Ok, well if you don't want the same gear then don't use the same gear. But there are people out there who strive to attain the best gear they can so they can do what they enjoy doing as best as they can. Yes, you can ifrit with level 1 gear. But why would you make some thing harder on yourself if you don't need to? Feel free to flame me I don't care the slightest the fact is the Grand Company's are not balanced and this is not fair for those of us whom don't currently like what is offered at our grand Company. Especially when we were told it would be balanced.

what if i just want the Flame Sergeant's Shirt and Flame Sergeant's Sarouel for my pug? baybe not the best gear, but it looks great.
what if i want Serpent Sergeant's Belt and Flame Sergeant's Pot Helm (really good for pug with int bonus)?
what if i want Ul'dahn Hoplon (131 block rate, 107 block) or Gridanian Buckler (168 block rate, 71 block, +15 evasion)?

i can't get them because i'm from storm, lol. best gear or not, that's unfair.
not only because i'd like gear from other gc, but also because storm has NOTHING good.

I do not think you understood my post at all. I was talking about how the Grand Company's were not balanced. I was talking about how I was told by the SE staff that the Grand Company's would be balanced. I only told players about Licont's character because many posters were trolling him to a large effect and questioning his ability as a gladiator tank. I did not once mention meldable gear or materia. I did not once mention the shield that is available in Gridania. I did comment on how he brought the subject up and yes it could of been done in a better. The point I am trying to make is that the Grand Company's are currently unbalanced and that they should not be when we were told they would not be. So, now we do not have the availability to get every item we would like to get and we are not able to leave the Grand Company we are in to join the one we would like to. Oh, I also forgot to mention how Ul'dah got the only crafting shoes/pants in 1.19. Balanced much?
