Many of us have been getting kicked all day, and honestly, they should have known better, SE should have known this would be a problem, why wasnt more done to anticipate this? I can only wonder how bad it will be on the 20th.

Funny we had the same problems at HW launch and by this time on launch day they were fixed. We didn't have instanced quest issues.. even before being put in a data center that's supposed to be better.. probably cuz it was cheaper for them now that they're having ISP issues now to boot. Funny how they didn't have the foresight to see this happening.. guess because they removed foresight skill... bring it back and use it![]()
That's the worst part of this mess. HW had the same sort of problems, but to nowhere near the same extent. I've spent literally hours in queues today, plus hours more in PotD runs that have ended up getting me nothing because I get disconnected and kicked. In HW, some lobby errors, I ended up disconnecting and having to redo Dusk Vigil, but I could, for the most part, play the game. SB early access is borderline unplayable for a lot of people in comparison. They've actually regressed in terms of the launch from the last expansion.Funny we had the same problems at HW launch and by this time on launch day they were fixed. When I wrote that, I was in a queue after getting disconnected trying to go into a Feast instance. It ended up taking half an hour to get through the queue to play the game I'm paying monthly to be able to play, on top of the cost of pre-ordering. A few minutes after I got on, I tried to get into Feast again. I am currently waiting in another queue of similar length to before, after getting disconnected in the same way, which will probably take another half hour at least. This is positively insane, and there's no excuse for this level of incompetence on SE's part. I don't even have it the worst--I've just been doing side stuff before getting into the SB story, people who have been trying to do the story have spent hours stuck on that one instance. People threw money at SE for this, they took days off from work to be able to play the game at launch, they made room in their schedules, in their life for this. And in return for their money and their dedication to their product, SE has taken a giant dump on our days. There damn well better be some form of compensation for this--the usual rote apologies of the sort they're giving aren't nearly enough.
just spent the last hour after dcing from a dungeon to waiting in the queue to even get it to can't connect to the sever I say the issues have not been remotely fixed
Well you can certainly cancel your pre-orders lol.
*yawns* chill. every mmo in the history of mmos has had xpac day bugs in one form of another. It happens. They have no way of determining the extent of issues until the xpac hits live servers. it's 1 thing to test on a controlled dev server. it's something entirely different to put it onto a live server with thousands upon thousands of players hammering the content all at once. They will fix it. They just have to figure out how to first. It's not like flipping a light switch. It's literally going through millions and billions of lines of coding 1 at a time and tracing network disconnects line by line. it takes time.
(pardon myt bad gramar) its time like this i miss Tanaka, he may not have been in touch with today's mmo's but at least he knew how to direct an mmo (look at ffxi) its times like this when shit hits the fans i feel yoshi-p has overstayed his welcome and we need tanaka back final fantasy xi was my first mmo back in 07 and even though that makes me a baby compared to the rest of you veterans that have probably been playing mmo's for ages i never encountered any problems on this scale in xi. if this is the level of stupidity we can expect from the dev team i.e; not preparing for the worst then maybe we should speak with our wallets and go play wow or ffxi for a month. if enough of us leave and sales drop that will get them to do something and its really sad that it seems like thats what it would take. i in no mean encourage you to leave the game thats just me venting but every expansion is the same bull. we need change we need a difference. i feel like im rambling nonsense at the moment and if it seems like that forgive me im very aggrovated at SE for fucking with my job (drk) on top of that all the disconnects and ques and bull that we got. im going to shut up now but i will say one thing #BringBackTanaka
Agreed. I spent 30 minutes and 3 logins trying to do the first SAM instance and still haven't seen the fight. I just tried to see if I could cancel but it was already shipped. I moved on to other games for now, and if I don't hear this is fixed or see an improvement by the time it arrives, I will ceratinly be returning it to the store. I also played HW early access; this is unacceptable by comparison.
These brown-nosers are possibly the worst part of this whole experience.*yawns* chill. every mmo in the history of mmos has had xpac day bugs in one form of another. It happens. Here's the bottom line: Customers paid for a service. The service has not been provided. The customers are quite entitled to express their discontent with this state of affairs. If you're fine with forking over money to get nothing, that's great, but don't expect of us to feel the same way.
