Temporary Fix for "Best Served with Cold Steel" MSQ.

Would it be so hard for SquareEnix to take the servers down for a short period of time to implement the option of bypassing aforementioned MSQ until the problem is rectified?

I understand, the servers are overloaded and the method for dealing with this is not really working at this time. A lot of us have taken off work and/or set aside time to play during the Early Access period. As it stands we are wasting our precious time. This issue has caused a lot of grief and irritation for the players.

I don't think my proposed solution is unreasonable or impossible.

They should, or in the future make it so these kinds of quests with instance trials go off the duty finder. That way people can queue and they can keep too many from going in at once.

At this point I'd be okay with being able to queue for the 1 man instance from the NPC that hands it out, no need to stick it in Duty Finder. Then we can go about doing other things until it pops. It can teleport us back to in front of the quest NPC after or just back to where we were, but anything is better than this.

They don't have to take servers down, but you can just walk away from the game for the day.

They build the fix, on a copy of the game, then once it is viable and tested, then they takeit down apply and bring it back up.

You have lots of other things to do, there are kids dying in Africa. Get some perspective please and learn IT.

On Excalibur, at around 9pm EST, thousands of people completed Raubahn's quest all at once. This massive mob spread to Rhalgar's Reach and onto the next cutscenes. The problem now is that starting any cutscene seems to disconnect you from the game entirely; Pipin has now become a Savage version of Raubahn.

Not sure I should even bother trying to progress the MSQ until things get sorted out, because getting stuck behind 1.8K queues is tiresome.

The thing that scares me is that they seem to think that things are ok as they are and in time everyone will eventually finish. I feel like only 1% of people wanting to do it have done it... so if people keep finishing it at the same rate... it will be like 100 days for everyone to move past this msq?

I hate this argument. Just because someone else has a worse problem doesn't mean a problem isn't a problem. If you lined a burglar up with a child rapist, would you not punish the burglar just because he looks better by comparison?
