Amazing series with extremely good acting and superb visuals that really bring the world to life.
Don't expect a lot of fantasy in the TV series. I doubt they will televise all the books but you can always hope they do.

All I see is hurr.
Televising all the books would just be 5 seasons at this rate, that's not unreasonable. With it's popularity I'd expect HBO to keep this going.
They've already said they'll have to split Storm of Swords into two seasons if they keep going. It will end up being more than 1 season per book.

Books 4 and 5 run contemporaneously... and while book 4 is thick, book 5 is thicker. If they're splitting books, those may 5-6 seasons total.
Then again, i think there's a bunch of stuff that could probably be cut for a TV series. Like Tom Bombadil in LotR, there's some stuff in there that doesn't really add or take away from the story.
Related to Book 5 (spoiler):
Like, do we really need the entire Reek/Theon and Ramsay Bolton story line?
That was the best part of book 5 IMO.

Well that and possibly the geological anomaly mentioned in the 2.0 outline that should predate the patch and lead up to some of the mysteries regarding the 7th Umbral Era.Clever, but all references aside, I believe that winter isn't coming may be partially due to the fact that Dalamud is nearing, and things are quite literally heating up. Dalamud has already been foreboding, and now it's starting to have some actual consequences in the game world.
I enjoyed reading it too. The point, though, is that for the sake of brevity, removing that portion wouldn't take away from the main storyline (ala Tom Bombadil in LotR).
