Has SE not learned anything from 2.0/3.0 release's?

SE made a great expansion with Stormblood, but did not upgrade the servers themselves to handle the flood of people that comes with the release of every expansion for every major game. You'd think that after the nightmare that was 2.0 release (i am not sure how 3.0 release went as i wasn't there), you'd think they'd at least put some extra ram in the servers to handle the extra load, lol.

I mean, it only took Blizzard five expansions to release one without massive server crashes.

How can we be sure things have not improved since 3.0 launch? Yeah we're stuck outside an instance but how can we be sure that there wasn't an improvement, but not a big enough improvement that there was 0 issues? We already know that once this initial server stress is gone that the extra resources that were put in place to deal with server stress will be used to further upgrade our inventory again. I think that's a clear sign that things have improved since 3.0.

TBH subs for this game werent all that high. (just take a look at the treads from months ago, claiming about ghost towns)
Stormblood hype made many people comeback and retry the game, (i´m one of them)
But not many people tolerate this kind of problems and will probably leave after their free month, or sub time runs out.
I was liking heavensward, they really improved ARR, but having this kind of service 3 times sure is tiring

No they haven't learned. I seriously think they believe the game doesn't have the following it clearly does. Why are they surprised at so many people? At so many people TRYING TO DO CONTENT?! WHY? You hype us up for an expansion you better believe there are going to be lots and lots of players! Blizzard learned their lesson after the failure that was Warlords of Draenor. Yoshi even said he liked Legion, so hence that means he at least follows what's going on with them. So he should know then the consequences of hyping players up.

Now we're going to go through the same tired motions of before. We get mad at the Early Access/Launch. Then we manage to finally play, get mad at things that probably should have been beta tested and then end up playing anyways.

Legion only worked because they changed how the entire game worked in open world content. Everyone is always being phased into different instances of the same zones, so you can barely ever see anyone.
