Do something.
Do something.
jesus lol
i just can't.
it is absolutely amazing when you read the other forums here and then you go here to the english forum.
First world problems to be had for sure
I'm honestly surprised the german forums aren't complaining. It's the one thing we german speaking people are good at. And being a stickler for the rules.
Well, I spent 4 hours waiting in a line that, as it turned out, didn't really do anything. Was it a waste of time? Maybe. But it also was fun, being part of the community. And it's something everyone participating will remember and laugh about in a few days.
Yeah, why don't you?
There are other games, other things you could be doing with your life than sitting here, cursing SE and/or the game, while staring at queues and disconnect screens.
Do what I did. Shut the game down and try again tomorrow morning.
The playerbase is half of the problem here, they keep throwing themselves at the brick wall yelling and screaming "I WANNA DO MSQ!!!!!!!!!!!!"
SE wants us to just, you know, shrug it off and do something else either in FFXIV or elsewhere until some of the players trickle through it and things go back to normal in a couple days. Seriously, some of you people act like spoiled whining children with their faces all red, covered in tears.
It's not the end of the world. Stormblood will be here tomorrow, it'll be here a week from now, it'll be here a year from now (unless the end of the world or something happens then you got bigger things to worry about).
Are you a square employee? my god you are as anoying as the people you are responding to.Yeah, why don't you?

At least they as consumers have a point, but you on the other hand.......
There's nothing they can do.
Their servers just can't handle this many people. It's not a bug or code that can simply be quickly edited and changed with a quick maintenance. They would have to upgrade their server infrastructure...again... or somehow put together a built in queue system for solo instances so people don't feel the need to spam NPC's, but even that won't help the actual strain on instances in general causing mass disconnects in duties across the board.
When they put out a statement earlier saying they were sorry and to please be patient and wait, it's because that's literally the only thing that can be done. Wait for the wave to subside and relieve stress.
Except this won't happen because the vast majority of the playerbase feels entitled to have it right now, instead of doing the reasonable thing and coming back later.
Make no mistake, this is not the players fault. It's Square Enix fault.
That being said. There's nothing us players can do about it, and there's nothing SE can do within reason to fix it outside of suddenly conjuring more server power out of nowhere tonight.
All anyone can do right now is wait.
