Time to face the music

So, my friends, fellow Eorzeans, warriors of light all, I have some dire news. We....well...we're pretty much screwed here. EVERYONE is in a bad situation and I will not mince words. It's going to get worse. You think TODAY is bad? Just wait till the 20th when everyone else jumps on bored. Thousands, possibly millions of others who have let their subscription lapse until Stormblood's full release, and have NO IDEA THIS IS HAPPENING, not that we could keep them away even if they did. I'll be greatly surprised if the servers don't collapse completely.

But I do have to respect those who like to hold out hope that, someway, somehow, Yoshi-P pulls another miracle out of the closet where he keeps his comic book themed shirts, and everything will be just fine next week. So, until that kind of thing happens, I'm curious. What's everyone doing to pass the time? Anime? Work outside the house? Torturing themselves by looking at the SB material on youtube that they can't access yet until their last vestiges of sanity leaves them?

The MSQ thing wouldn't be so bad if the servers were stable. Because then I could at least level some other jobs in the mean time. But, every dungeon I enter is just another case of rubber banding and dcing. Spent 50 minutes in HWs 2nd dungeon only because everyone kept dcing and dying to random things. The game at the moment is literally unplayable.

Honestly, I think the 20th won't be so bad as I feel that the majority of players who were looking forward to Stormblood are in the early access. Of course, that isn't to say there won't be an additional bottleneck due to another instance, but as far as Coldsteel is concerned, I feel like this is the worse it will get based on that logic.

things will definitely get way worse on tuesday.. the servers will likely crash or people will just give up on playing FFXIV until SE fixes these issues. one thing is certain that there will be an emergency maintenance on the 20th so i would look for other games to play or some series to binge watch all tuesday and possibly wednesday. this congestion is making alot of people upset that they can't access and enjoy SB or the game itself.

Hopefully this gets more traction in the larger gaming media. People need to know how incompetent this launch is.

I am having fun. I dont really feel bothered by the MSQ problem. I just got my samurai to 60, so was busy having fun.

;; I've done every new SB story quest on my main and my alt... I'm reeeeally getting impatient.

Love the look of the new areas, love the battle changes... but I really want to continue the story. I never had this trouble for HW, so this is disheartening.
