Brand New PlayerGlad/Mara & Conj Mix to Max Level

Hi All FFXIV Players from Shyla.
I am SUPER new to FFXIV, since it plays way different from WoW and EQ. I have played FFVII and FFXIII. SOOOO I do understand some FF terms. So far this game is fabulous, but I do have some major questions.

First, has anyone dual classes to top level? I know class changes are coming, but I really like being a mix of healer/warrior. So I was going to try leveling Marauder/Glad mix..with dabble in Pug (Second Wind)..and supplementing with Conj. for heals. Basically main two are Glad/Conj. = Paladin. I was just wondering from more experienced players if this feasible to do?

Second, Are there any guilds or I guess they are called Linkshards, that are looking for new players. I am on the Mysidia server. I really want a guild with active members because I do ask questions and would love any guild looking to help new players....I am not looking for guildmates just to give hand outs or stuff like that....just knowledge and help with in game content. I love to play with other players, and I have played healing or tanking roles in other games. Thank you all for listening all and hope to see you in the game.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Eorzea! To answer you question about your direction for leveling, I believe you have the right idea... Of course in my case, I leveled my Gladiator to max first and then found out the bad way that I needed to level other classes to help out. Gladiator/Marauder should have some hefty changes coming in pretty soon so keep in mind that everything your doing now might not apply after patch 1.20.

As far as a Linkshell, I only can help out peeps in the Lindblum server... So if you find a need to switch servers I have a place for you in our ranks!

That's about all the advice I can give ya, this game has quite the amount of a learning curve... So try to stay open minded and your adventures will definitly be fun!

You have the right idea OP job leveling wise.

For a linkshell do a few shouts in Uldah during busy hours and you can probably find a guild. If not ask around send some people some /tells if they look like an active ls and ask them if they are recruiting or if they know anyone who is, most people are looking for more members in their linkshells, if they are not more then not they will send you in the right direction.
