People need to stop being apologists for SE. Early Access means just that, you access all of the content early. Not beta testers, not stress testers. This issue needs to be resolved 12 hours ago instead of the piss poor "fix" that was implemented.

This, people need to stop acting like Square Enix can do no wrong. This attitude causes many of us to instantly hate you, you are not Square Enix, you are a paying customer, act like it. Start demanding the proper respect you deserve for enriching these people wallets with more money they can ever put to good use. Corporations screw us because idiots worship the way they do business, regardless if it is good or bad.

What? This is NOT a Beta test. This is an early access aimed at loyal players who pre-order their game so that they can get a head start. We're NOT testing anything. This is the finished product that we're given to play early because of pre-ordering the game.

Incorrect. Early access is not beta testing. We are paying customers. We're the customers who believe enough to put our money down early in order to access the content sooner. This is an intentional bottle-neck by SE. They knew this would be an issue and they know it continues to be an issue. And they're doing nothing to fix it.
They've created an untenable situation and they refuse to fix it. People have taken off work, shuffled their entire lives, in order to play today. And SE has created an intentional roadblock that prevents playing the game. That's called disrespecting the customer.

Yea seen this comeing ,the whole point of early acess is essentually a stress test, and server load balanceing im pretty much knew this was going to happen anyways.
Obviously you were not here to enjoy the 18 hour log in q's when ARR launched. SE KNEW exactly what would happen here. This is expansion 4.0......THEY KNEW! They could have just rented some extra servers knowing people would be grinding msq, and potd and what not......could have rented servers for one month to handle the extra instances....but noooooooooo. They knew.....oh did they know.

Hell wouldnt even have needed a month. Better server capacity for a couple of days would have solved EVERYTHING. The lack of foresight, or the willingness to just let the player base deal with this mess, is almost to bad to believe.
No beta is for testing.. not pre release.
Heh I never thought of it that way. Bottleneck us so we don't advance way ahead of the crowd that comes in on the 20th.
