I even less surprised by this problem occurring than I am by the presence of "I deserve compensation". This sort of thing ALWAYS happens in EVERY game. Stop pretending it's a surprise and a personal insult. The salt must flow, I guess.

This is NOT a surprise to SE. Unless they some how lost the number of pre-orders they sold, they knew EXACTLY how many people would be logging in during EA and should have been able to draw reasonable inferences usingPAST data of how congested the MSQ instances would be.

They let X number of people ONTO a server and then when it causes problems say "there's too many people". They never say that when they're taking your monthly payments, though.

I did want to add though, I appreciate Yoshida responding, I really do. It's nice to hear them acknowledge the issue but ultimately I don't blame him at all. He's not the person whose job it is to maintain server infrastructure or manage the technical side of things (presumably, I don't know his full skill set!), I'd be more interested in hearing from them.
