Oh and gating a MSQ-scenario in a single instance everyone has to go through is so pathetic it almost renders me speechless: you don't properly expect a flood of players and yet you force all of them into 1 scenario.
It really seems most if not every game company only employs people that are not or cannot be critical towards decisions from higher up: You can't convince me that their whole FF14 stormblood team couldn't foresee gating the MSQ behind a single scenario is a good idea.
As far as complaining and forgetting it goes: I will remember such massive blunders. And unlike a lot of people I make no arbitrary distinction that it's "only a game".
The other poster comparing it with a midnight screening was spot on: in that case you would go berserk when the movie is unwatchable due to the cinema's inability to foresee a rush a people - but when it's a game you suddenly caress the company with silken gloves and even defend their avoidable mistakes.
