This 1hr20min install time was far better thana nything i've ever seen in ffxi, and I played that game for 8 years, reinstalling at least every year, if not every 6mo, due to hardware upgrades. And I have the vanadiel collections from 2005-2010, so from 3 discs to dvd, plus patch time. FFXIV is like lightening compared to ffxi.
    Well installing is quick enough.

The patching through the official patcher... I am not sure what the hell is wrong with it, for some people, me included it just takes forever, never gets any remote connections, etc.

I suspect it's some crappy, evil and pointless tracker config that might be locking people out from connecting to others by region, country, whatever. Opening the official torrent file with a standalone torrent client (same port forwarding config as official patcher) locks me out of SE's tracker but then peer exchange takes over and I get max connections and download speed goes to 100% of my bandwidth.

So the problem is not necessarily on our side when it comes to retarded low download rates.
