    What's the point of the role system?

    So, being a White Mage...

    I had to take:

    Protect (used to be mine)
    Esuna (used to be mine)
    Swiftcast
    Largeese (used to be mine)
    Lucid Dreaming (used to be mine)

    I don't even get to really try any of the other things... why even have the system when these five skills are pretty much required?

    Because they are pretty much required, so you either put them all up in a neat bundled system for everyone to grab, or you copy and paste them to all jobs as job skills with a unique icon.

    The main issue is that they didn't really give WHM anything to compensate, let alone something useful. You just get less skills total. And apparently, that didn't strike anyone on the dev team as an issue >_>
