I miss the old gaming days where people play the game because it is fun. Most of the games suck now because companies focus too much on graphics than game-play it self (ehem 1.0).

The PS4 pro IS a cheap piece of hardware, That's the point behind consoles. And as has been stated, SE didn't promise anything

I do not own a PS4 Pro, but after slogging through 12 pages of this thread; I can sort-of relate. But if people with 1000$+ can't clock in 60 FPS in crowded zones, how can you expect an (I'm not a PC elitist ) admittedly inferior machine to compare? It cannot be helped. I am sorry you were lied to.![]()

Reading some of these comments affirms my belief mmo's should never be released on consoles.
They just hold the game back - too bad they can't drop support for PS4 entirely. Maybe at the end of SB for the next expansion they can give out free PC copies for transitioning potato console owners like they did for PS3>PS4.

Are they going to give us free PCs then too? It's already confirmed that it's PCs holding the game back, namely the 32-bit toasters half the fanbase in Japan still uses. Please don't be jerks to other people and criticise their ability to play the game. We already missed out on the whole of 1.x and had to migrate hardware (in many cases) once.
I'm not saying that my PS4 runs the game better than PC (heck, my OG PS4 runs a heck of a lot worse than my buddies right now, since I don't have a SSD!)
But I still don't want to go PC.
Sorry wasn't meant to criticize - more like a jab at the guy complaining that the game doesn't run at 60 fps on his "pro" console...of course it doesn't and him claiming they promised it would run at 60 locked everywhere was a ridiculous statement - mine was meant to be equally ridiculous but I suppose sarcasm is hard to convey in this format. Are they going to give us free PCs then too? Never said it should run 60 everywhere. You're really grasping at straws now.Sorry wasn't meant to criticize - more like a jab at the guy complaining that the game doesn't run at 60 fps on his "pro" console...of course it doesn't and him claiming they promised it would run at 60 locked everywhere was a ridiculous statement - mine was meant to be equally ridiculous but I suppose sarcasm is hard to convey in this format.

"According to Yoshida-san, players should be able to experience stable 60 FPS with the mode that favors frame rate, even if he did not specify if the frames per second will be locked or not."
Was also on the stream, if you want to look it up in any of their archives, where they talk about it. It obviously won't achieve a locked 60 in all zones, which is to be expected, and was a point they made. However, they specifically mention "Two" modes. One aimed at higher performance, with the current resolution, the other maintaining the current frame rate with higher resolution.
In reality, it seems as if they kept not only the previous resolution, but also the previous frame rate from pre-patch for the "Performance" mode. A "Performance" mode that actually doesn't even exist as an option on the video settings tab (or very recently was, ninja status anyway). I wouldn't say I feel lied to, but it does feel a bit like a bamboozle. It feels like they're using a technicality to get around the fact that they might not have actually worked on a performance upgrade for the base resolution.
"Well, you CAN toggle on 4k, and that WILL lower your FPS, so technically the non-4k IS performance mode ;^)." That's kind of the mindset they seem to want for us to adapt. Doesn't feel exactly forthcoming of them.
