Gauges options: always, greyed or gone.

Is there any options related to gauges? I've seen people who want them gone, but for me I want my dragoon gauge to always show or at least be greyed out to keep track of eyes and to be able to place my HUD correctly, since having to use botd and running to the HUD settings to place it comfortably is annoying.

Upvote if you want these options.

Me personally, I rather it only come up when I'm in battle. It does get in the way sometimes.

I was able to move and resize my ninja gauge in the hud layout menu.

It's not shown initially because you have to switch to the Job for the first time after 4.0. After you switch, it then appears.

All that appears is a box with the name of the gauge. But in order to see the gauge itself, so that you can tell where it's really going to be placed, you have to have the status buff active. For some jobs, that's easy enough. For others, it's annoying to have to be in combat while adjusting your HUD Layout, and only get a brief chance at it then. (The only exception seems to be ACN/SCH/SUM. The Aetherflow gauge is always visible.)

For dragoon it doesn't even show in combat. Only if you use blood of the dragon. And I can't stress how stupid is that I have 15s every 30 to set my gauge how I want, instead of being greyed out like blm's (which tracks the "same" buff").

Yeah, it does show it as a box. I just assumed the gauges kinda all look the same (Could be very wrong about this) and adjusted my gauges to the same placement for all Jobs.

I'd like some of the gauges gone (looking at you, Huton) but the HUD settings won't let me hide them. I don't know if this is intentional or not. But at least I wish there was an option to stick with the status icons instead. Most of the gauges don't blend in with the rest of the UI, and look like they're from a different game.
