    Jesus... It's so bad that they just redirected you in a circle like this. It really is a game of blame. Well, we're probably not going to see any fix anytime soon since the two companies seem completely uncoordinated in their own communication with each other, which definitely sucks.

    Just got this issue as well.
    If the only true solution is to actually redownload everything, I will not be able to play this game again.
    My download speed during patches is 0.18 MB at best. Paired with the incessant "Unable to download patch files" message, it took me more than three days to download Stormblood with its ~6 GB. I had to babysit the download the entire time, canceling the download every 20-50 MB so that it would "save" my progress and stave off the patch files message.

    Redownloading the entire thing is an irritant to some, but to me it is not really a possibility on my internet.
