Hello. I just had a power outage. I went to load client and was met with the download ffxiv-H2017.06.06.0000.0001a. The time for download to complete:2800 minutes at .20MB/s.
I was not aware of this issue until moments ago...lol...after experiencing it, then searching the issue, and then having a Reddit lead me to this thread.
I am upset along with the others who've had this issue.
It seems to be not getting any response.
I understand those suggesting battery backups, and I will go and purchase one tomorrow. I am able to do so. I am certain others are not. But, I believe the backup is a sound suggestion. However, it is not a fix.
If you wish to make this known in a grander way, please respond with your thread link. We need to move outside of this thread into public view.
SE has made known their intention to have FFXIV be available to as many consoles as possible.
We, as paying consumers of FFXIV, have a right to voice our concern for our suffering, and we, again as a paying consumer, have a responsibilty to provide our gaming community with the treatment and service input we receive from companies we pay to enjoy our love of online gaming--specifically the FFXIV brand and SONY Entertainment.
Up until this occurred, and then my discovery of how common it has become with the Stormblood patch, I believed both SE and SONY did a great job with we PlayStation consumers.
I don't believe so now. Please repost your thread if you would like to move outside of this forum to a more public view. I will devote a bit of time to the issue. Thanks & Kweh(shame on you SE). I for one have a strong connection to your Final Fantasy franchise that shares the length of the series--all 30 years. Please do not harm that relationship.
