This really needs to be fixed. It happened to me again today. It's not so bad for me as I have good internet, but for those out there who have to wait 5+ hours for the game to completely install again is /really/ lame. I hope it'll be fixed with the PSN maintenance.

I do doubt it would be fixed with Psn maint, but I do not think it's necessarily on se and at this point.

The PSN maintenance has nothing to do with this. It's a routine maintenance. But hopefully they figure out how to fix it soon. I would bet this is moreso Sony's fault than SE's.

PSN maintenance could eventually fix it, because Sony is also working on this, along with SE.

It is on SE. Stromblood happened = issue happened. We cannot put that on Sony even if it's the Ps4 data checking screwing FF14... simply because it worked fine before Stromblood.
It is the game which is supposed to deal with the system, not the opposite.
