22.7gb update after relogging?

I really just want a dev or someone in the team to just say we are working on it at the moment or whatever, anything. Geez, it's like they are more worried about fixing the glitch people are having while fighting their new dummy, than helping us solve this rather terrifying and frustrating launcher bug that they have for their PS4 version. This ain't a small issue Square! Power outages actually happen to a lot of us!

I have spent the past 12 hours trying to get past Pipin to have a power outage and need to download 22749.42 of data. I have a ridiculous download speed of 0.20 MB/s and I now have 2500 minutes remaining for a game that i cant progress in the main story, thanks SE.

Yesterday it happen to me, when playing i got power outage for a couple of seconds and when i login back. I must redownload 22.7GB patch.
After 7 hours of redownloading, i can play this game again with a hells of queue (2 hours of queue) and it runs everything normal again. When i'm done playing, close the application and turn off PS4.

This morning, i run the game and everything goes normally until it got a second power outage again. Then BAM! Here goes the 22.7GB redownload again when i relogin!

So SE please fix this PS4 SB Launcher ASAP!! It's not funny for players who has slow speed to redownload this entire thing again!!

I won't play this game and cancel my sub until this bug fixed!!

This is my first post in official forum just to notify this issue. It happened to me as well.

I was testing out RDM and sudden gust of wind cut the power and 22.7GB download was waiting for me when I tried to log-in again. And I got hit with another power cut and yet again, have to re-download everything from scratch again.

I had similar power outages during both ARR and HW, but I only have to re-download everything once during these 3 years.

This seems like a launcher bug to me and a major one at that. I am currently using a UPS battery to prevent power outage for now. But I have heard the dreading news that even doing a hard log-off can get you that 22.7gb redownload. Please look into this and fix it as soon as possible.

Like you I had 2 separate power outages that forced me to download this patch 2 times. And like you I went and grabbed a UPS battery that I had elsewhere and have now plugged my PS4 into it

But I just did a hard log-off not too long ago and everything seems fine. I'm talking log off from menu + turn off PS4 + unplug. And no patch download or anything like that happened when I logged in from the launcher. I also put it in rest mode while I still was logged into the game and everything worked from there too.

I think of the issue we are having is, will it force us to download this every time the PS4 turns off without formally logging out of the game? And how can we fix that?

Looks like I'm going to have to spend another 7+ hours downloading it for a second time because my PS4 decided to randomly shut itself off in the middle of a dungeon run and is forcing the 22.7MB patch again.

I'm another one with this problem. PS4, power went out for about a second. I go to log in, and here's this giant "patch" with four hours of downloading on it.

I got about halfway through. My power went out for about two and a half hours. Got back on to resume the download, and it was the full 22.7 again. I just decided I'm not going to log in until it's fixed. I'd rather not kill the internet in my house for something that I'll have to download again anyway.

Even back when I beta tested ARR, I never encountered a problem like this. I can deal with the bottle-necking and the disconnections. This, though? This is just ridiculous. I hope they get on a fix asap.
