22.7gb update after relogging?

Had this exact same shit happen to me last night because of a few second power outage, and I've been downloading the thing for eternity with this pathetic 1mb/s speed. Now the download has finally finished and I'd like to play something else than FFxiv. This might be a silly question and has probably been asked already, but can another power outage leading to a PS4 shutdown cause the terrible downloading issue happen again even if it happens while I'm playing a game other than FFxiv? If it can, I'd rather just keep my PS4 off and play PS3 or something until the terrible weather causing these electricity issues has completely calmed down...This whole thing sucks, ESPECIALLY with a connection this slow.

Sadly , yes.

If you got a power outage, or if the ps4 freeze on a game and you need to reboot it manually, then FFXIV data is out, even if you don't play the game.

Better wait for a real fix.

Yup, 3rd time for me. They've just lost me preordering any Squenix game ever again. They just can't be trusted on getting games out before they've checked BASIC bugs like this one. And I am sure this won't even be mentioned in the next Live Letter Q&A session. F***ers.

Yep, this nonsense keeps happening. I messaged SE support about it and they said there was nothing they would do to compensate players affected by this issue. They went on to tell me that if I did not want to be charged I could go to the mogstation and cancel my subscription. "F you" noted, SE. Subscription cancelled. Worst customer service ever.

Why is this bad customer service? They can not do anything if it's a Sony issue and do not owe you any refund or compensation. Sony is where the issue is occurring.

You think Sony would let anyone smear their name without issuing a statement back. It's obviously a PS4 problem with the launcher and they are working on it. No "so they say" about it.
