22.7gb update after relogging?

PSN maintenance could eventually fix it, because Sony is also working on this, along with SE.

It is on SE. Stromblood happened = issue happened. We cannot put that on Sony even if it's the Ps4 data checking screwing FF14... simply because it worked fine before Stromblood.
It is the game which is supposed to deal with the system, not the opposite.

While you are right in general there are other things that could of happened on Sony and that was the cause as well, but is still patially se fault.

For instance Sony could of uodated the ps4 after stormblood went into gold and the codes didn't like each other.

I sort of think this is what happened, but it's weird it didn't crop up in hw. So probably disnt test the launcher reaction under strange circumstances with new code. So probably both their fault but only Sony can alter the reading of thevdata.

Either way shouldn't of happened.

The issue started before any PSN update. It happened to me the first day of early access. The only psn update I know of was a week later. And right before Stromblood update, there was no problem. I can tell... because I have a lot of power surge, at least twice a day.
But yeah, if the game had issue after a PSN update, I would blame Sony. But this isn't what happened.

Lemme tell you how I had a power surge today around 4:30pm and the special power strip thing with the built in battery that I bought saved my PS4 from going off while I was in queue to log in. Am happy it worked.

Hopefully, this update they're putting out tonight is actually tested and will actually solve issues. PSN has a bad habbit of just throwing updates at things and not knowing about what they do.

This is the THIRD time i redownload the 27 Gb file since stormblood Early Access. Twice in 18 hours... And that's 4.5 hour download for me.
It is beyond ridiculous at this point. I have never had any issues prior to Stormblood.
For the content and new jobs I really enjoy Stormblood, but this crap, along with Raubahn's wall...... Have made me really frustrated.
SE please fix this!

First time this has happened to me. Quick power outage and then had to download 22.7GB of the game. I know SE knows about this problem but please give us daily updates in order to ease our minds a bit.

Sub just ran out preordered stormblood havent been able to login since early access started. We need a free login week, not resubing till its fixed. Guess its ESO Morrowind a while for me.

The problem I am most annoyed by is SE's silence on this whole matter.
If I had a USB battery backup, or a solar array, or a generator.
The Lodestone warning of this problem, ie "Some players are experiencing technical problems with patch files if they lose power during play." would have made it possible for me to put in a pre-empted backup battery system.
I can't get the download complete, it takes 30 hours and there is always some point where the DL errors.
I'm really sad SE.
Pretty soon shear boredom is going to drive me to the same decision as Rikith.
