22.7gb update after relogging?

All right,just now,it's forced me to download "22Gb" again .. for the 3rd times.

I've got the same problem on my ps4 and currently downloading the "22gb" thing for the 2nd times...
No blackout or power outage though.
Just normally log out , take a break then return and after successfully log in .. it force me to download again.

This is horrible. It took me 11 hours yesterday to download rhe 22gbs. So at that rate I can play every other day.

Yeah,at this point it's not funny anymore.I can't even get to that "Raubhan's instance" people were talking about because I have to wait for this stupid download almost everytime I logged in.

Chiming in to say this is happening to me too. It's 24 hours after the expansion hit (well, minus 30 mins - currently 4:30am edt) and this isn't fixed yet. I was logged in, power went out suddenly and stayed out for half an hour, and when I tried to log back in my PS4 informs me First Time Setup and starts downloading a file named H2017.06.06.0000.0001a that's goddamn 22749.42MB big!!

It obviously has the game downloaded and installed already, I checked my HDD space and nothing's changed. No missing data. This is bull****.

Lovely... it choked on the download after 10 minutes, errored out, and I logged back in to try again. This time the file is called H2017.06.06.0000.0001b and is 21319.31MB big.

Anyone else have this happen? WTH is going on?

From my experience, the letter at the end of the file changes from a all the way to j. 10 letters, I believe one is for all of the major content patches, because after that "ex1" is added to the file, and later "ex2." So for some reason it's downloading the entire expansion plus all the patches, if I'm right. Regardless, it still doesn't explain why is redownloads in client every single time we try to log in.

I go to school in a 3rd world country and unfortunately the power goes out at least once a day... I've already lost like 2 days of early access because of this issue... I see all my friends making it to lvl 70 while I stare at this 500 minutes remaining.. I'm kind of afraid to play anymore in fear of not knowing when the power will leave again forcing me to redownload all the patches again and again and again... worst is when its almost done downloading and it makes me start the process all over again... Seems like ill spend the rest of my life re-downloading patches.. so sad because I was really looking forward to enjoying stormblood.... all i can do now is share my pain with my fellow eorzeans in this thread
