I bought a Surge Protector/Battery back up at Best Buy. It lasts 10 minutes with a PS4. lmao Atleast that way I have a chance to log off and shut down so this stuff stops happening to me.

Happened to me just now. I have limited internet, however I can download as much as I want between 12-5AM. 23GB will still take 4-5 days to download. I also live in an area where power outages are very common. It at LEAST goes out twice a week. Unsubscribed for now until this is fixed. Love the game, but I'm not going to be foolish and pay for a game I can't play.

Perhaps you dropped the ball again.
Back in 2012 you decided to make some big changes and re-brand FFXIV.
As a former FFXI player I was thrilled to discover a game that had all the elements that I loved about FFXI: Very nice controller layout and management. Macro options. Incusive Crafting, a Milti-Job single Avatar, with sub job options, Beautiful scenery, and likeable music, etc.
While removing all the really annoying things like: Low % exp gain. Very Little soloable content.. other than BST, Few Teleportation options resulting in Lots of running. Mobs chasing you to zone border, etc.
Some things you changed for the worse too though: Auto-Translate needs work. You need more group timed events like Weaponskill Combos and Magic Burst. You removed Shell, and now Stoneskin for some reason. Kinda screwed WHM, but I suppose that is keeping with the times.
Whatever transition happened recently in your company, or whatever backlash you may be getting right now from DDOS, it may be time to come forward with the truth.
We the loyal PS4 subscribers, though a smaller majority of the whole, still represent some portion of your revenue. If you value that loyalty, you can show us some how.
I believe in this game, and I want to keep playing this game.
You came back from impossible odds once, and if you remember what you learned from that, surely you can do it again.

This has happened to me twice now. Once a couple nights ago due to the smallest power flicker via a thunderstorm, and just now from a breaker problem that just happened to affect the plug my ps4 is connected to. And I'm so close to the end of the MSQ too =_=

I'm still having trouble comprehending that this is only affecting the one plug in the room my PS4 is hooked up to, and only started after doing the system update the other day.

Dear SE it seems we are not worthy customors for you cus it's hard to believe a big company like you with more than 30 years of game programming couldn't find a fix for this issue. oh well , I'm not sure if this game is worth my money anymore after 3 and half years of playing .

Dev talk about corrupted files, I'm afraid it's the wrong spot.
I could be wrong but...

Theory:
There is a verification of data we can't avoid if Ps4 isn't switched of proprely. Since Stromblood, it doesn't recognize anymore files installed from FF14 launcher and concider those corrupted => erase.

Happened to me for the second time this afternoon. This is getting annoying and like a lot of others I have limited internet so I have to take my system to someone else's house to download this again so it doesn't take 16 hours at my house. Square or Sony whichever this problem ultimately belongs to please fix this.
