22.7gb update after relogging?

Had a blackout last night. After doing the download i got 30 min playtime just to get another outage and bamm got to re download it again

Dear SE:

Perhaps you dropped the ball again.
Back in 2012 you decided to make some big changes and re-brand FFXIV.
As a former FFXI player I was thrilled to discover a game that had all the elements that I loved about FFXI: Very nice controller layout and management. Macro options. Incusive Crafting, a Milti-Job single Avatar, with sub job options, Beautiful scenery, and likeable music, etc.
While removing all the really annoying things like: Low % exp gain. Very Little soloable content.. other than BST, Few Teleportation options resulting in Lots of running. Mobs chasing you to zone border, etc.
Some things you changed for the worse too though: Auto-Translate needs work. You need more group timed events like Weaponskill Combos and Magic Burst. You removed Shell, and now Stoneskin for some reason. Kinda screwed WHM, but I suppose that is keeping with the times.
Whatever transition happened recently in your company, or whatever backlash you may be getting right now from DDOS, it may be time to come forward with the truth.
We the loyal PS4 subscribers, though a smaller majority of the whole, still represent some portion of your revenue. If you value that loyalty, you can show us some how.
I believe in this game, and I want to keep playing this game.
You came back from impossible odds once, and if you remember what you learned from that, surely you can do it again.

I was just checking the official forums to see if i was the only one with the problem and there i found this thread.

Same thing as everyone, PS4 on standby, power outage, 22.7 gigs download when relogging, looking at 6 hours of download and not even half way...

Well, this error just happened to me AGAIN.

SE and dev. Team, what is this? A single power surge or a 2 second power outage make the entire game file in the PS4 corrupted or damaged? What are you guys even doing? How is it that your servers or our PS4s think the game has to be re-installed in its entirety like that, it's just ludicrous! Call experts in or something because I am more than likely going to need download it AGAIN when and if I install a power backup. I can't believe I even need to get a power backup for a game console because the game files turn to garbage at the slightest power flicker.

Had this happen to me not even a day ago. Power outage for whatever reason, ps4 turned off...Now I have to redownload everything. What worries me more is that it keeps telling me that I'm 'Unable to download patch'. Is this a digital download exclusive problem or has anyone with the physical copy been having troubles too?

this just happened to me and my brother. power outage and boom: update. halfway into the update we got an error saying it couldn't download patch so we contacted support. we're downloading the whole game again. we'll see if it fixes the problem. (also i think it's curious how this has happened to so many people in exactly the same way.)

Funny how the Dev team won't even acknowledge this!! Guess I might try to find other games that are more stable!

SE, you have the gall to say this issue has been fixed with the latest PS4 firmware update?! Because it hasn't! I guess you are just trying to shut all of us up. Seriously about done with this company. Probably getting my money back on my Zodiac Age steelbook.

Something i noticed is this big patch 22747gb is divided by parts each 1430gb if you dont download at less that progress (Connection issues ) you will need redownload again...Do you think guys that ps4pro have something to do with all this? Because there is a issue with text box too.Mybe is the copatibility
